Let’s be honest.
You can get away with a LOT in your 20s.
In your 30s? The body starts collecting receipts.
The good news, is nothing needs to change if you’re willing to implement a few simple habits into your day. Here’s the top focuses I’d have:

Nobody told you this when you left the hospital.
Nobody mentioned that the scar from your C-section — the one you were told would just "fade with time", could be quietly connected to the low back pain you've been managing for two years. The hip that never felt right again. The core that you've done all the exercises for and still can't fully feel. The heaviness or pulling in your lower belly when you pick up your kid.
You were handed a pamphlet and sent home. And when you brought it up at your six week check, you were told you were healing well.
But something still feels off. And you've started to wonder if this is just your body now. It's not.
Here's what the research actually shows: up to 90% of women develop internal adhesions after a C-section. That scar tissue doesn't stay put, it can tether to your fascia, your pelvic floor, your abdominal muscles, your bladder. It restricts movement through your entire system in ways that show up as pain and dysfunction far away from the scar itself. And most women are never told this is even a possibility.
Shockwave therapy works by delivering targeted acoustic waves into the restricted tissue, breaking down the fibrous adhesions, stimulating collagen remodeling, restoring mobility and blood flow to an area that has essentially been locked down since your surgery. It's non-invasive, there's no downtime, and it works on scars that are months or years old.
I'm Dr. Chris. I'm the owner and chiropractor here at Move RX in Kelowna, and this is something I feel genuinely passionate about, because I know what it's like to be a woman with real symptoms who gets told there's nothing more to do. I've used shockwave therapy on myself. I've seen what it does for my patients. And I am tired of this treatment being one of the best kept secrets in women's health.
If you've had a C-section and your body hasn't felt like yours since — save this post, share it with a friend who needs it, and come talk to me.
You don't have to just live with it. 💙
Raise your hand if you think you might be THAT client 👀

Not sure who to see? Here’s a simple breakdown:
Physiotherapy focuses on rehab, injury recovery, strength, mobility, and exercise-based treatment. Great for sports injuries, post-surgery recovery, and long-term pain management.
Osteopathy looks at how the whole body moves and functions together. Treatment often includes hands-on techniques to improve alignment, mobility, and reduce tension throughout the body.
Chiropractic primarily focuses on the spine, joints, and nervous system, often using adjustments or manipulations to improve movement and reduce pain.
The best choice depends on your goals, symptoms, and preferences (and sometimes a combination works best).
And for the ones who do, we’re glad to have you ✨

Believe it or not, your neck may be the hidden cause behind symptoms you didn’t connect (and probably never thought would be connected to tension in the neck!)
Curious if this might apply to you too?
