Real Bride, Real Bridal Makeup Look!

Say hello to my gorgeous client Sam- she recently got married and my goodness is she ever a radiant soul inside and out!! We had the best time together on her wedding day, and I can’t wait to share more- for now though I wanna take you through some key elements that made her dream bridal look come together.

✨ Lash Cluster vs Strip Lash — This girl has some already seriously stunning naturally long as heck lashes! To keep it lash focused I used some new fave cluster lashes instead of a traditional strip lash- this allows me to customize the shape, length and density of the lash to perfectly enhance her eyes!

✨ Fresh Faced & Glowing Skin — Ok so this is part of my signature look/makeup style, but I love when clients request it! Using thin layers to keep the fresh luminosity intact, while covering only where needed to brighten and add balance. And you know ambient powder + my fave Dew-U cream to powder highlight made it onto her skin!

✨ Blushy Cheeks that POP: I LOVE me some blush, And thankfully Sam wasn’t afraid of blush either 😍 we kept her cheeks radiant with a combo of cream blushes (I mixed a few shades here) as well as powder blush in a combination of both matte and radiant finishes to create the perfect tone.

Ashley came in with the most beautiful glowing tan, (as many clients do) as you can see though, we needed to make sure her colour was balanced up to her face, to ensure she was glowing head to toe.

Along with marching her complexion to her body, our goal was to enhance (not cover!) her natural radiance for her maternity shoot. A fresh, softly-blended look that made her eyes pop while keeping everything natural, lightweight, and effortless — just how my clients love it 💕

Brides-to-be, are you dreaming of that fresh, glowing, natural look on your big day? Well if so, it’s important to know that your skin IS one of the most important factors in a natural makeup look, after all it is the canvas we’re working with. The health of your skin plays a vital role in ensuring your makeup is as flawless and radiant as possible. So let’s make sure it’s in top shape before the big day arrives! 💖 Here are my top 5 tips to get your skin wedding-ready!

1️⃣ Start Your Skincare Routine Early
The key to gorgeous skin is starting your routine as early as you can + consistency! I suggest starting a committed skincare routine at least 6 months before your wedding. Basics would be: Cleanser, a good serum, moisturizer + sunscreen daily.

2️⃣ Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate!
I know, this one is too obvious, but it’s too important not to mention. Drinking plenty of water is essential for plump, glowing skin that is deeply hydrated from the inside out. Skin that is well hydrated holds makeup the best and helps your look to wear long into the day as well. But don’t forget to hydrate from the outside in too—a good hydrating serum is helpful to locking in that hydration all day long.

3️⃣ Exfoliate for Smooth Skin
Exfoliating 2-3 times a week is ideal for preparing your skin to be the best and most smooth canvas it can be. It eliminates dry patches + leaves your skin smooth and radiant.

4️⃣ Treat yourself to a Professional Facial! Nothing beats the glow that a professional facial can give you! I recommend going as early as you can, but for sure 4-8 weeks ahead of the big day. Hydra facials are a go-to recommendation for my brides.

5️⃣ Don’t Skip the Sunscreen!
SPF is your best friend—not just for preventing burns, but for keeping your skin looking youthful and radiant for years to come. Apply sunscreen every day, especially in the months leading up to your wedding. PRO TIP: Sunscreen should be applied as the last step in your skincare routine, before your makeup.
