Trying to decide whether to stay or leave a marriage is a heavy decision. Often, it feels like there’s no good choice. It weighs on you, affects your sleep, stays on your mind constantly, and can leave you feeling like you’re losing yourself as you go back and forth from one moment to the next, unsure of what to do.

I support clients in making decisions they feel grounded in and won’t regret years from now. I don’t tell you what to do, but I help you get clear so you can make the most aligned decision for your future.

I used to think that you needed to be fully healed or less broken…to be in a healthy relationship. I now know that a healthy relationship can heal parts of you that could take a lifetime to heal on your own.

Being loved fully for who you are, being able to know what it feels like to trust someone, to be able to let all your walls down…allows your shoulders to drop, for your body to exhale and to relax into love in a way I actually didn’t know was possible until I felt it. And that feeling, of trust and of being seen, is healing. Healing beyond what any book or therapist can teach.

So, do I think there’s a certain time frame that everyone needs, or an amount of inner work that’s involved before it’s deemed “the right time” to be in a relationship after a divorce? No. I think it’s individual, and I believe that if the right relationship presents itself it could just be the very thing that heals you the most.

Divorce gets such a bad rap.

And yes, it can absolutely be heartbreaking.
It can feel like grief, loss, fear, uncertainty, exhaustion.

But I also don’t believe divorce is always the worst thing that can happen to someone.

Sometimes it becomes the very thing that brings you back to yourself.

What I’ve seen over and over again with the people I work with is that divorce can become a beautiful new beginning. A chance to finally ask yourself:

Who am I now?
What do I actually want?
What kind of life feels aligned for me?

And for some people… maybe it’s the first time in their entire life they’ve truly had the space to figure that out.

I watch people start pushing past fears they’ve carried for years.
They stop shrinking themselves.
They stop settling.
They stop abandoning themselves to keep the peace.

Because let’s be honest… going through divorce is hard. Really hard.

But there’s also something powerful that happens when you realize you survived it.

You stop fearing things the same way.
You start trusting yourself more.
You become willing to expand into a life you maybe never believed was possible for you before.

You become clearer on what you don’t want. And even more importantly… what you do want.

Peace.
Connection.
Freedom.
Calm.
Joy.
A relationship that actually feels safe and aligned.
Or maybe simply a life that finally feels like yours.

I truly believe all of that is possible after divorce… if you’re willing to allow yourself to believe that a beautiful life can still exist on the other side of it. 🤍

We don’t usually miss the red flags.

We just don’t listen to them.

It’s easy to look back after a breakup or a divorce and think… how did I ignore that? It feels obvious in hindsight. Like it was right there the whole time.

Because it was.

The truth is, most people did see the signs.

They felt the discomfort. The hesitation. The moments that didn’t sit right.

But then the fear kicks in.

And this is the part no one talks about…
we don’t consciously decide to ignore it. We silence it quietly. Automatically. Without even realizing we’re doing it.

We tell ourselves it’s not a big deal.
We explain it away.
We give it more time.

Not because we’re stupid. But because we’re scared.

Scared of being alone.
Scared of starting over.
Scared of losing something we’ve already invested so much into.

So we override ourselves.

And this is not the part where you beat yourself up. We’ve all been there. I’ve been there too.

And this is the work I do with my clients.

Not just spotting red flags. That part is easy.

It’s building the self awareness and self trust to actually listen when something feels off. To stop overriding your intuition just to keep the peace or hold onto something that isn’t right.

When you trust yourself, everything changes.

You don’t ignore the nudge.
You don’t second guess what you feel.
You don’t stay where you know you shouldn’t.

You move differently. You choose differently.

And you stop repeating the same patterns.

So the real question is…are you ready to trust yourself the first time?
