What can I say about 2020.......⁠ ⁠ 

As a Nurse Practitioner working 2 days a week in primary care (Drs Office) I had to experience and manage how to deal with patients in a virtual way and with a magnitude of mental health and escalating addiction, all in the middle of a pandemic (something I thought only existed in text books).⁠ ⁠ 

As a Professor and the Coordinator of the Nurse Practitioner Program at Queens University, I had to learn how to teach students hands on skills on a virtual platform, while struggling to give them the best hand on practicum experience I could.⁠ ⁠ 

As a business owner I had to learn the importance of ecommerce and how to pivot my business on dime in order to be success and remain relevant. Not only did I expand my business, but I also took over another.... Livingston Co. Teething Whitening. I have also come to appreciate and value my clients in a way I hadn't before and so for that I will forever be grateful. I would not be what I am today without you!⁠ ⁠ 

As a mother and partner, I experienced the challenges of multitasking in a way I have never had to before....... full time teacher of two under 11, full time mom, full time partner, business owner...... all simultaneous at the same time every day and never once feeling successful. ⁠ ⁠ 

What I can say thought, is that I have learned things about myself that I never appreciated before...... my strength, resilience, patience, creativity, integrity, drive, determination, compassion and the list goes on. I am so grateful for 2020 for so many reasons and look forward to applying what I have learned to 2021. ⁠ ⁠

Today we are so very grateful to have some down time to enjoy the holiday season with our kiddos and loved ones without the pressure of travel and endless family gatherings. We are embracing the change this pandemic has brought us this holiday season and we hope you are as well.⁠

The announcement today of another lockdown has most of us rattled and uneasy to say the least. The holiday season is about time with loved ones and so this will be a very different time for many of us.

Having said that, enjoy the quiet moments with your partner amd/or children as these moments are precious and very rare this time of year as we traditionally jump from house to house and event to event.

I for one am grateful to be able sit back and watch my girls unwrap their presents from Santa and and have the luxury of sitting in our pajamas all day listening to the sounds of laughter and play.
