First, I want to say how genuinely grateful I am for the clients who respect their appointments, communicate with me, show up on time and value the time I reserve specifically for them.

But I also want to be transparent about something.

When you book an appointment with me, you’re not simply booking a beauty service. You’re reserving a specific portion of my day that I’ve chosen to dedicate to you.

If I reserve one or two hours for an appointment, there are so many other things I could be doing with that time. I could be improving something at BRAVA, running errands for the business, creating content, or simply spending time with my family and enjoying a little bit of summer.

Instead, I chose to reserve that time for you.

So when someone doesn’t show up or cancels at the very last minute, it’s not just an empty space on my calendar. It’s time I can’t get back.

BRAVA is also a real business with real expenses. There is rent, products, supplies, taxes, and many other costs behind every service. And even though I own my business, I still need to be paid for the work I do.

This is why I take my cancellation policy seriously.

Not personally. Professionally.

And I think there’s a very important difference.

I’ve had clients forget appointments, mix up dates or make genuine mistakes. They simply said, “I’m sorry, I made a mistake,” took responsibility, paid the cancellation fee and we moved on. And honestly? I respect that so much.

There are no hard feelings. You’re human. Things happen. I will happily welcome you back.

What I have a harder time accepting is when someone doesn’t respect my time, isn’t honest with me, or takes my cancellation policy personally

Because my policies aren’t personal. They’re there to protect my time, my business and the livelihood I’ve worked very hard to build.

I don’t expect perfection from my clients. I expect communication, honesty and mutual respect.

And to the clients who consistently give me exactly that: thank you.

You respect my business, but you also respect the person behind it. And that means more to me than you know 🩷

NOT ALL LASH SERUMS DO THE SAME THING 👀

The applicator can actually give you a clue about what the product is designed to do.

If your lash serum has a mascara/spoolie-style brush, think LASH CONDITIONER 💧

This type of product is applied directly to the lashes and should contain conditioning ingredients that help hydrate and care for the lash hair, especially after a chemical service like a Lash Lift.

But always check the ingredients! The brush alone doesn’t guarantee that the product is actually conditioning.

Now, if your lash serum has a thin, pointed applicator designed for the lash line, think LASH GROWTH SERUM 🌱

This type is applied close to the roots and focuses on supporting the new lashes as they grow in, rather than conditioning the existing lash lengths.

The easiest way to remember:

💧 Lash Conditioner = cares for the lashes you already have
🌱 Lash Growth Serum = focuses on new lash growth

Around your eyebrows are sensory nerves that are closely connected to the area around your eyes and nose. During tweezing or sometimes waxing, those nerves can be temporarily stimulated. Your body may respond with watery eyes, sneezing, or an itchy sensation.

It’s a natural reflex and nothing to worry about. In fact, I see it all the time!
