Ahh 2016… I may be a little late to this trend but it was so fun going back through my camera roll and looking back at what I was doing a decade ago. I got to re-wear my wedding dress for an epic photoshoot, travelling pre-kids, launching an Etsy shop before realizing no one wants $40 crocheted scarves 😂, knee deep in the sock bun trend, lots of filtered landscape and flower shots, and diy-ing a home reno. Good times!

I was just starting to gain confidence doing makeup on other people and I was starting a certification course to become a professional artist! A timeless look that suits all of us!

My formula for soft-glam makeup that always enhances, includes these key elements;

1. Foundation with a skin-like finish, not too matte!

2. Colour on the skin where there naturally would be - think bronzed where sunlight would naturally touch the face, and a subtle cheek colour where our skin naturally would flush

3. Subtle and well-blended eye shadow gradient in a colour that makes eye colour pop. Lighter on the inner corner of the lid, and increase in colour pigment towards the outer lid so eyes appear open and bright!

4. Soft brown shadow used as liner in the lash line and light, feathery lashes for natural-looking volume and length.

5. A lip colour close to the natural lip colour, but enhanced with a satin finish lip stick or gloss.

6. Lightly filled in/ brushed up brows that follow their natural shape
