Hi, my name is Emily.

I work with clients of all ages, with a special focus on supporting children and youth as they navigate big emotions, relationships, identity, and life changes. I aim to create a space where clients feel safe, curious, and empowered to be themselves. My approach is warm, playful, and developmentally sensitive, and I value collaborating with caregivers to support long-term growth.

I support clients with a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, body image, disordered eating, anger, and stress. I also offer affirming care for neurodivergent children and youth and those with 2SLGBTQ+ identities. My work is grounded in a trauma-informed lens, and I draw from CBT, DBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, solution-focused, and humanistic approaches.

Outside of the therapy room, I’m a cozy soul who loves the arts and can often be found curled up with a good book with my beloved dog by my side.

Hi I’m Jen,

My goal is to help you cultivate a sense of calm and ease in your daily life.

What does this truly mean for you?

It means approaching stress as a manageable challenge rather than an overwhelming crisis.
It means finding the clarity, motivation, and focus to move through tasks with ease.
It means experiencing the lightness that comes when the weight of depression begins to lift.

Ultimately, my purpose is to support you in achieving genuine mental clarity, balance, and satisfaction in your life.

Why is this so important?

Because mental health influences every aspect of our well-being.

The state of your nervous system activates a cascade of biochemical processes that shape your mood, performance, relationships, and overall health. When your brain’s chemistry is out of balance, it affects nearly every area of life.

This isn’t just theory for me—I’ve lived it myself.
I know what it’s like to struggle with irritability that derails focus during important moments.
I’ve seen how procrastination can stretch a task far longer than it should.
I’ve explored countless hormonal treatments, only to realize that mood and focus were rooted elsewhere.

If you are ready to explore a new and evidence-based approach to achieving greater peace of mind, sharper focus, or the emotional balance you’ve been seeking, you are in the right place. Let’s begin this journey together.

The transition from summer fun to school routines can be daunting, especially for those struggling with academic pressure or social challenges like bullying.
If your child is feeling uneasy about returning to school, here are a few ways to help them beat the back-to-school blues:

Talk About Their Feelings: Open up a conversation with your child about their concerns. Whether it’s anxiety over a new teacher or fear of bullying, letting them know you’re there to listen can make a big difference.

Organize Playdates: Reconnecting with school friends before the term starts can help ease nerves and bring back excitement about seeing familiar faces.

Let Them Choose New Gear: Get your child involved in picking out new school supplies. Whether it’s a cool new backpack or personalized lunchbox, giving them something to look forward to can make the return to school more enjoyable.

Read Back-to-School Books: Stories about returning to school can help your child process their feelings and build anticipation for the new term.

Ease Back Into Routine: Start reintroducing a regular bedtime and morning routine before school begins. This will make the first day back less jarring and help your child feel more prepared.

Remember, it’s normal for kids to have mixed feelings about returning to school. With a little support and understanding, you can help them transition smoothly into the new school year. 🏫🌟
