Fresh haircut going shorter to clip out the coloured tips. Deciding to let my hair grow out has definitely been a journey. I always told my kids I wouldn’t do it until I am in my 70’s but Covid shutdowns changed my mind. It has a different texture and what colours I wear close to my face have changed. Ok with it all - change is good. Knowing your best colours to wear helps. I am a trained colour analyst and if you ever thought of how to wear colour with your new silvers I can help.

Wearing makeup under a mask can be a bit messy. I am wearing some great products that stay put but it is also how you apply it. Makeup lessons are a great way to learn all kinds of tips and tricks or just to get an update or refresh is beneficial. I am now taking clients for in my home studio for lessons. Playing with colour is always fun. Why not? I don’t believe in makeup rules I believe you should wear what brings you joy and this does it for me. Mind you I probably wouldn’t do this daily but fun for a change.

Glasses are an accessory. I just purchased two new pairs of glasses. Which one do you like best?
The acrylic frames are for more casual (they are Juicy Couture) and the black with crystals (Ann Taylor) are for a dressier look.

Red is such a fun colour to wear especially this time of year. Bull Blass fashion designer quote “when in doubt wear red”. Everyone can wear red just getting the right undertone and intensity is the key to wearing your best red. I am cool undertone with medium intensity.

Ladies are you using a good moisturizer now the colder days are here? I just want to share with you one I am using and absolutely love. Belif is a Korean brand that is available at Sephora The Face Shop and Avon. It hydrates my skin so well and doesn’t leave a residue. Makes my skin feel plump and healthy. Great for normal to dry skin. It works really well under foundation too. I encourage you try it out.

All ready for the day and nowhere to go. I try to keep a daily routine with hair makeup and at least a nice top. I have been hibernating quite a bit with the times and this is my way to feel good. Do you have a daily routine that helps you???

Before and after using no filters on this 63 year old face. I have been using sunscreen for about 30 years. Just wish I would have started in my 20’s when I baked in the sun (during the 70’s). Sunscreen is so important to use even during the cold cloudy winter days. I use spf 50 everyday and right now I am liking Avene Spf 50. It blends in well and works under makeup.

Do you use spf during winter months?

A year has gone by so fast and I miss having ladies in my studio to teach and do their makeup. This lovely lady Terri Byron came to me and I did her makeup which she used as her profile pic. She was very happy as I enhanced her beautiful features with a very natural look.
