Hair designs, styles and colouring Born in Elliot Lake, Ontario, Erin Fernande grew up in the Sudbury area and settled in Kitchener-Waterloo in her teens.
She realized her talents as a hair stylist while in high school through a Co-Op class and the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program. She completed her Co-Op placement at Shear Heaven, where she was hired on as an apprentice after only one week of placement. Erin worked underneath professionals in all areas of the salon, and it was there that she found her passion, colouring. Erin worked with Goldwe
ll Professional products, and attended many classes and conferences to build her skill set. After 2 ½ years at Shear Heaven, Erin moved to Voila Salon, an Aveda Concept salon. During her time at Voila, the salon won an award from Salon Today for being one of the top 200 salons in Canada. While at Voila, Erin focused on taking classes at the Goldwell and Aveda Academies and received many certificates for her work. From 2006-2015, Erin worked at Dynamic Family Hair Care. Over the 9 years there, Erin has built a large and loyal client base. She works with Schwarzkopf Professional, and in 2011 became a certified instructor for Keratin Smooth Straightening Systems and Loop N Lock Hair Extensions, teaching to stylists all over Southwestern Ontario. Erin continues to attend shows, classes and events within her industry. Erin has produced and directed photo shoots, showcasing her talents in colouring and styling. She has opened up a busy home based Salon Studio, Serindipity Hair. When she is not working from sun up to sun down, or participating in classes, she spends her time with her partner, 9 and 2 year old sons and 5 yr old daughter.
