Sometimes, finding the words to describe what we’re feeling can be difficult. Art therapy offers another way to communicate, reflect, and explore what may be happening beneath the surface.

Using creativity within a therapeutic setting can support emotional expression, build self-awareness, and create opportunities to work through experiences in a way that feels approachable and meaningful.

At ThriveLife, Veronica Freeman offers Art Therapy for children, youth, and adults, creating a supportive space where creativity can become part of the therapeutic process.

Sydnee has been teaching yoga since 2017 and has a rich background in wellness and specializes in slow, intentional movement. Sydnee values yoga for its ability to connect breath with movement and to foster awareness of our internal experiences. Her classes are designed to stretch and release tension in common areas while strengthening reciprocal muscle groups to promote balance. She brings all eight limbs of yoga, incorporating pranayama, meditation, and yogic philosophy. Sydnee aims for her students to leave class feeling settled and content, equipped with tools to practice yoga both on and off the mat for a balanced and peaceful life.

Yoga therapy is a holistic approach that uses the principles and practices of yoga to support mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Unlike a typical yoga class, yoga therapy is personalized to meet individual needs, addressing specific health challenges such as stress, anxiety, chronic pain, trauma recovery, and more. It combines breath work, gentle movement, mindfulness, and relaxation techniques to help calm the nervous system, increase body awareness, and promote healing.

At ThriveLife Counselling & Wellness, we integrate yoga therapy as part of our wrap-around wellness services to complement counselling and support your whole-person health. Whether you’re looking to reduce stress, improve emotional balance, or deepen your mind-body connection, yoga therapy offers a powerful, compassionate path toward greater well-being.

Parenting can be full of beautiful moments, but it can also be full of moments that push us right to our limits.

When emotions are running high, both for our children and for ourselves, it can be difficult to know how to respond in a way that feels supportive, connected, and effective. Co-regulation is not about being a perfect parent. It is about learning how to stay grounded, understand what your child is communicating through their behaviour, and build connection through the challenging moments.

Our 10 Strategies for Co-Regulation online course offers practical, compassionate tools to help you navigate big feelings, power struggles, transitions, and everyday parenting challenges with greater confidence and understanding.

If you are looking for ways to strengthen your connection with your child while supporting emotional regulation for the whole family, this course is for you.
