Habang tumatanda tayo, mas importante talagang mag-limit ng sugar at soda—hindi dahil bawal na, kundi dahil mas nagiging sensitive na ang katawan natin sa epekto nito.

Ito ang mga pangunahing dahilan:

1. Mas mataas ang risk sa sakit
• Ang sobrang sugar ay pwedeng magdulot ng Type 2 Diabetes
• Nakaka-contribute din sa heart disease at high blood pressure

2. Bumabagal ang metabolism
• Habang tumatanda, hindi na kasing bilis ang pag-burn ng calories
• Ang excess sugar madaling maging taba → weight gain

3. Nakakasira ng ngipin at buto
• Soda (lalo na may acid) → tooth decay at enamel damage
• Pwede ring makaapekto sa bone health dahil sa phosphoric acid

4. Energy crash
• Mabilis kang magkakaroon ng energy… pero mabilis din ang bagsak
• Resulta: pagod, hilo, o irritability

5. Hidden calories
• Soda = mataas na sugar pero walang nutrients
• Para kang “uminom ng calories” na walang benefit sa katawan

Simple tip:
Hindi mo kailangang totally iwasan—control lang
✔ Water muna bago soda
✔ Limit to occasional treat
✔ Choose natural sweets (fruits)
