As the end of the month quickly approaches I wanted to give a shout out to all my clients. Thank you so much for your patronage, loyalty, and love. It's been a wonderful experience to work out of Lethbridge. For those interested in coming to my new place, I will be starting up again after the September long weekend.

Due to our upcoming move at the end of August, I am not taking any new clients until after our move. This will allow me to give more time to my current clients before we leave Lethbridge.

Q: What if I'm pregnant but don't want anyone to know, should I still tell my therapist?
A: Yes! Always let them know when there are any changes to your health and your body. Pregnancy is a major one. Many therapists suggest waiting until your second trimester to get a massage. They shouldn't be
telling others about any information you give, but if you're worried just tell them you want to keep it confidential.

Next weeks appts are booking up fast. I do still have one opening on Friday the 5th in the afternoon, and a few on Saturday the 6th.

Q: what if I'm worried a massage will just be painful?
A: I'm always surprised how many people have had bad, and even traumatic, experiences with massages. The saying "No pain, no gain" doesn't always apply. Always remember to tell your therapist any fears or concerns and never be afraid to say if it's too much pressure or if it's uncomfortable. Tell them what you want before the session starts. A good therapist always be attentive to how your body is responding. A tense muscle is not a workable muscle.

Q: Can I bring my husband and/or kids with me to my massage appointment?
A: It depends on the facility. It's best to ask the therapist first. My house is not a daycare, nor a waiting room. It is in your best interest to leave distractions at home. Noises disrupt relaxation, and distracts a therapists work as well.
In their first appointment, many have often brought a female friend or mother who stayed in the room during the session, which is totally fine with me.

Q: Is it customary to tip a massage therapist?
A: Massage therapists are in the category of 'service people' that do usually get tipped, so yes. Having said that, a tip is just that; a tip. It's not mandatory and shouldn't be expected. It's a little bonus that tells your therapist you appreciate their work, and you value the service above the price. As in any 'tipping' industry, a tip can be added when the service meets and exceeds your expectations, and it gives the therapist an extra boost of confidence in their work.
(FYI: therapist tipping is nothing like cow tipping)

Q: Should I shower before a massage?
A: Please do. Therapists prefer not to work on a smelly client just from the factory or the gym. Smells can stay in a room long after a person is gone, so be considerate of your therapists sensitivities. Also, avoid strong perfume, and don't wear makeup as is can permanently stain the sheets. These little but helpful habits keep us from having to buy air fresheners constantly, and new sheets, keeping your costs lower as well.
