May was an incredible month—full, busy, inspiring, and one that truly filled my cup.
I started the month by successfully completing my Master Colourist certification with La Biosthétique. Over the course of 54 hours across three weekends, I immersed myself in advanced education focused on:
• In-depth colour theory within the La Biosthétique colour system
• Advanced colour chemistry
• Refined techniques and guidelines for colour correction
• Creating exceptional blondes through strategic and creative placement
The training, held through the International La Biosthétique Academy in Vancouver, challenged me to grow, think differently, and continue raising the standard of service I provide to my guests.
Next came a much-needed girls’ trip to Ireland. A week spent exploring, walking, eating incredible food, and laughing until I cried with some of my favourite people. It was the perfect reset and a reminder of how important it is to make space for adventure and connection.
To finish the month, our team headed to Calgary for a weekend of education with Theo and La Biosthétique. Investing in growth alongside such a passionate group of people is always inspiring, and spending time together outside the salon made it even more special.
We also celebrated Saydee turning 20—a weekend full of learning, connection, and plenty of fun.
Looking back, May was a month of saying yes. Yes to growth. Yes to education. Yes to stepping outside my comfort zone and embracing new experiences. Every time I choose discomfort over staying comfortable, I find another opportunity to learn, evolve, and become better at what I do.
I am incredibly grateful to be part of Olivine and to every guest who continues to trust and support me. None of this would be possible without the amazing community that surrounds us.
We truly have the most supportive team, the most wonderful guests, and so much to look forward to.

Today marks one year of being a part of Salon Olivine.
They say time flies when you’re having fun, which is the only way I can comprehend how fast this past year has flown.
It mostly feels as if I have been a part of this magical environment forever, what was existence before this?
My life has gotten significantly better in so many ways throughout this past year, and I am so grateful for all of it.
I have been challenged to step out of my comfort zone in a lot many ways, which has led to so much growth.
I am grateful for the comfort I feel to be myself in a place that supports and encourages it.
I am grateful for every single guest that joined me in this journey, and every new one I have met along the way.
The joy that Salon Olivine brings me & my clientele each day is something that will never go unnoticed.
Excited to see what each year brings, but today I am just so grateful for where I am.
