I made my own ribbon skirt for my convocation, and wearing it feels like carrying my strength, my culture, and my journey with me.

Next week, I will graduate with my Bachelor of Criminal Justice after four years of hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance. As a young mom, every late night, every challenge, and every obstacle was worth it.

Now, I am in the process of becoming a police officer so I can create a stable and meaningful future for my son and myself.
I truly feel like a princess, and like my fairy tale is finally coming true.

Dreams do come true when you refuse to give up. ✨🪶👑

This ribbon skirt was made for a woman from Africa who works in an Indigenous environmental space.

I created this piece to reflect who she is, where she comes from, and the work she does alongside our communities. Different cultures, shared respect, and shared purpose.

It was an honour to create something for a sista from another culture. This skirt carries her identity, her roots, and that connection. I hope she loves her gift💛🧡🤎

I made this skirt for my sister Kori, and it carries a piece of our dad with it. Before he passed, he told us when we miss him to look for a blue bird.

Kori was nominated for the Young Trailblazer Award with the YWCA Saskatoon. I created a custom ribbon skirt using blue bird fabric so she could carry him with her on this special occasion.

I am so proud of the woman she is becoming, I know our dad would be too! This one is more than a skirt, it's a memory of our late dad & a reminder he is always there in spirit. 🤎🌿🌞🪶

This one is for our babies 🩷🪶

I’m proud to share that I’m now making doll ribbon skirts. because our children deserve to see themselves, their culture, and their beauty reflected in everything they love.

Representation starts young. When our little ones play, they should see strength, tradition, and identity in their hands.

It was an honour to create customized mother and daughter ribbon skirts for the Kodi Awards at Lethbridge Polytechnic, a night celebrating dedication, leadership, and athletic excellence. Each piece was carefully designed in Kodiak colours.

Congratulations to Chase Wells-Creighton on being named Kodiaks Most Outstanding Player and receiving a Leadership Award for women's basketball. Your hard work and success are truly inspiring.

I am proud to have been a part of this special night through my art, contributing to a moment that celebrates both accomplishment and identity. Prairie Lily Threads is rooted in creating pieces that honour success, story, and culture. 🩵🪶🏀
