💉LET’S TALK ABOUT BRUISING
Even with an experienced injector and careful technique, bruising can happen after cosmetic injections.
Your face has an extensive network of tiny blood vessels, and sometimes a needle or cannula will encounter one. A bruise doesn’t necessarily mean something went wrong—it can simply be part of the injection process.
At RXCosmetics, our goal is always to minimize bruising through thoughtful injection techniques, careful anatomical assessment and appropriate aftercare.
A few things to keep in mind:
✨ Botox® and dermal filler injections can both cause bruising
✨ Some people naturally bruise more easily than others
✨ Certain medications and supplements may increase bruising—never stop prescribed medication without speaking with your healthcare provider
✨ Bruising can occasionally look worse before it looks better
✨ Most injection-related bruising gradually resolves on its own
Have an important event coming up? 🗓️
Give yourself some breathing room. We recommend scheduling cosmetic injections well ahead of weddings, vacations, photos or special occasions rather than assuming you’ll be bruise-free.

September 11 is a day I will never forget.
I was a nursing student when the attacks occurred. I remember the shock of those first moments and the profound grief and loss felt throughout the days that followed.
I also remember feeling deeply moved by the people who stepped forward—the first responders, healthcare professionals, volunteers and everyday individuals whose small acts of courage, compassion and kindness brought light to an unimaginably dark day.
Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, those whose lives were forever changed and everyone who answered fear with service and humanity.
We remember. We honour their courage.
