Travel.ART.Henna
Professional henna and body art with natural, hand made henna cones. One of TO's few jagua artists! I also love when clients challenge my creativity.
I have finally found my passion and I am sharing it with henna lovers around the globe! I travel to you so my clients are comfortable in their own surroundings. I do bridal designs, engagements, bachelorettes, destination weddings, private appointments, prenatal/belly blessings, henna parties and body art. I have also created a removable henna paste which stays on for one full day and does not leave a stain. I use natural, organic henna paste and glitter gel, both of which are available for purchase. From time to time I get requests for black henna (which is against my conscience!) however I have found a natural alternative: jagua. The pulp from this South American fruit is used to create a gel that is applied to the skin. After 24 hours the stain is blue/black in colour and remains for up to 2 weeks. My conscience is happy with that : )
My style is a mix of everything: Indian, Arabic, tribal, modern and traditional. I can use elements of these styles in creating a custom design that suits your taste. I love practicing new patterns and expanding my library of designs to choose from. Most recently I began creating mindful jewellery using semi precious stones. The stones are grouped according to energy/intention and I create beautiful bracelets in both elastic and adjustable styles, as well as malas or necklaces.
September usually comes with a lot of new routines and schedules. This Swptember was very different for my kids and I and I have to say, I'm a little impressed at how well things are going.
I get it now; it never is too late to set a new normal. Who's timeline are we working on anyway?!
To all the moms getting used to their new normals or the ones pushing to change what thwir normal is, keep going. We are stronger than we like to admit and these kids are resilient AF. We got this.
Mom life, thoughts on a walk, school schedule, single mom life, revelations in nature, mompreneur, setting a new normal
I know I'm not the only one struggling to keep up with social media and the dreaded algorithm. I was feeling stuck until my ride-or-die best friend, cheerleader and hype girl broke it down for me. One day at a time...aim to post one day at a time.
So, minutes before the day is done, this is for you Amanda Russell-Boyd 💖✨️ and for me, and Kavita M and In Skin Body Care while I'm at it lol.
I guess that means you'll be seeing more of me!

Modo Yoga Brampton celebrated the end of their Modo Moves Challenge at a Community Event on June 6th. Participants were invited to incorporate daily movement into their routines for the month of May to recognize Mental Health Awareness Month.
These beautiful bracelets were made for each participant, as a reminder of their accomplishment in May and also to encourage them every day going forward. I'm grateful that Modo Yoga Brampton chose me to create these tokens for their participants and I'm also grateful that I have unexpectedly become part of a community that is so welcoming and supporting. I began practicing at the studio in December and have become quite defensive about my yoga schedule.
Beautiful things are happening, internally and externally. Very grateful!

Current work in progress ✨️✨️✨️
Pushing myself to create without necessarily having an end goal...just to build my collection. Piece by piece, bit by bit.
Thanks for coming on this journey with me 🙏🏽
We only usually see the end product and that's what we fall in love with. Remember there is a whole lot more going on behind the scenes, so don't get caught up with comparisons and negative self-talk. Making mistakes is how we learn, so here's to getting messy!
Step into your power...and you'll take off.

Allowing creation to flow...being ok with making mistakes and taking my time.
Deciding to let go.
One day at a time, but don't take it for granted...por que yo no se mañana.
Are we liking the wreath? Will be sure to post progress pics along the way.
