split ender treatment + trim , wash & style from a while back

I looove a Curly cut!! 🤩
this gorgeous gal suffered a curly girl’s nightmare a year or so ago - huge unwanted chop and she had not been able to form her stunning curl pattern like she used to.
So, we did a split ender treatment on her, to take off all the dead ends without losing any length.
Then I did a dust of a trim on her length - evening it out overall, rounding off the shape while making sure I kept as much of the length as we could. (it looks a lot shorter in the after, this is because the way her curls sprung up! especially styled with the diffuser but really i hardly took off anything! it’s crazy how much curly hair shrinks!!)
To finish I did some freehand notching in the interior to take out weight and encourage more volume and a stronger curl pattern.
Styled using curl cream and a diffuser end on my blowdryer!!
So so pleased with these result. I cant wait to grow more on my curly cutting skills- i just love curly hair!!

This last Monday myself and my team saw months of hard work and creativity put into action for the Border Beauty showcase, competing in the Avante Garde division.
I am SO proud of the look we created.
mystical, ethereal and inspired by the beauty of nature - perfect fit for our lovely model Anwen. special thank you to her, her patience and grace has been greatly appreciated from our first trial run back in early February- to the finally on Monday.
another huge thanks to Keyra ( ) and Berdine ( ) for asking me to join their team and for the amazing ideas and collaboration i got to be a part of. the creativity and skill of these ladies will never go unnoticed by me.

In the last slide you will find a drawing that our model received after her time on stage. a young girl in the audience was so inspired by our look- she thought to do that little sketch and wanted to give it to Anwen. this touched my heart so dearly (pun intended? lol). seriously though, having our work be loved by someone so much that she wanted to draw her -is the best trophy we all could have ever asked for i think. 🥹 it’s the little things.

My Take on Copper 👩🏼‍🦰👑
→ Level 7 Copper with brown tone base all over the roots
→ Picked out and left out her lovely warm highlights, low lighting what’s left behind
→ around the occipital bone i left the highlights in, to reintroduce some extra depth into the colour
→ then i Toned with a gold base toner with a little AA Apricot added for a touch more warmth to melt it all together

I had no idea heading into the salon i would be so lucky to really get creative with this application and colour formula! 🧡

well here she is: my first ever blondie foils 🥹
we went a blended and overall lighter look, that honey sandy blonde - toned with Matrix 9GV+Clear.
i should’ve pulled out the ring light for my pics of this once, much regrets! you can barely see the difference! but i’m learning and i promise you in person this girl has a huge difference 😁✨
