Diffusing to 60–70–80% dry means the curls are still not fully set yet. At that stage, the hair is still soft and can easily stretch, frizz, or lose definition if touched too much. The curl cast and shape usually lock in once the hair is closer to 100% dry.

The weirdest things about having curly hair… 🤨
1. “Is your hair real?”
…like what do you mean real?? Yes. It grows out of my head like this. No perm, no magic wand—just natural curls doing their thing.
2. Complete strangers thinking it’s okay to touch it.
No intro, no warning… just hands in the curls. 😅
