Your Friday reminder from Shari: your shoulders might need a little care before they start yelling at you.

If your upper body has been feeling tight, sore, heavy, or stiff from stress, work, caregiving, driving, scrolling, or just life lately, a few gentle stretches can be a supportive place to start.

Try moving slowly through:

Cross-body shoulder stretch
Behind-the-shoulder/tricep stretch
Arms-behind-the-back chest opener
Shoulder rolls
Finger and upper-body stretches

You don't have to push hard. You don't have to “fix” everything in one stretch. Sometimes the first step is simply noticing where your body is holding tension and giving it a little more attention.

And when your muscles need more support than a quick stretch can offer, massage therapy can help with both physical tension and stress-related holding patterns.

It is easy to dismiss pain or instability when it first shows up.

You might tell yourself, “It’s probably nothing.”

And then small things start to feel different.

Stairs feel awkward.
Your ankle feels less steady.
Your foot aches after standing.
Your calves fatigue faster than you expected.
You catch yourself avoiding certain movements.

That does not mean you are broken.

It means your body may be giving you useful information.

In this video, Pawmir is looking at movement, strength, control, balance, and how Rob’s feet and ankles respond under load. Physiotherapy is not just about chasing pain. It is about understanding the pattern around it and creating a plan that fits your body and your life.

If you are dealing with foot pain, ankle instability, calf tightness, or pain that keeps coming back, Pawmir can help assess what may be contributing to it.

Have you spent years wondering why everyday life feels harder than it “should”?

For many adults, ADHD assessment is not about getting a label for the sake of a label. It can be about finally connecting the dots between focus, memory, emotional regulation, fatigue, anxiety, overwhelm, and daily functioning.

At Embodied Resilience Wellness Clinic, Mahisha Balani, Nurse Practitioner, offers ADHD assessment, diagnosis, and medication-management support with a whole-person approach.

You deserve care that takes your full story seriously.

Meet Hajra Batool 👋

Hajra is a physiotherapist with training in both pelvic floor and pediatric physiotherapy, supporting clients from infancy through adulthood. She completed her Doctor of Physiotherapy degree in Pakistan and her Master’s degree at Western University.

She supports children with developmental milestones, crawling, walking, torticollis, plagiocephaly, neurological conditions, and neurodivergent care, including ADHD and autism spectrum support. Hajra also brings her lived experience of having ADHD into her work, helping create care that feels understanding, collaborative, and supportive.

At Embodied Resilience Wellness Clinic, we believe feeling safe, heard, and empowered matters just as much as treatment itself — and Hajra embodies that in the way she cares for her clients.

If you’ve been looking for physiotherapy support for yourself or your child, we’d love to help.

Boundaries don’t always mean pushing people away.

Sometimes, boundaries are how we make relationships more sustainable.

In this video, Fizza shares a gentle reframe: setting boundaries can be a way of helping people stay in your life in a way that feels safer, clearer, and more respectful.

Community can be important. And it can also shift, grow, and look different at different points in your life.

If you’re looking for care that respects your body, your lived experience, and your need for safety, you can book with Fizza here:

Sometimes neck pain is not just about your neck.

Stress, posture, sleep, jaw tension, work setup, movement habits, and nervous system overload can all play a role.

That’s why physiotherapy looks at the bigger picture — not only the sore spot.

If you notice your neck tightening every time life gets stressful, that’s useful information. And it can help guide treatment in a way that actually makes sense for your body.

Pawmir takes a collaborative, whole-person approach to physiotherapy care, including support for:
✔️ Neck pain and tension
✔️ TMJ/jaw pain and clenching
✔️ Headaches related to tension
✔️ Posture and workplace strain
✔️ Stress-related muscle tension

You don’t have to “just live with it.”

Grief does not follow a neat timeline, and it does not mean you are doing anything wrong if loss still feels present weeks, months, or years later.

In this new blog, Fizza explores grief through a neurodivergent-affirming lens and names something many people feel but do not always hear out loud: grief does not expire.

If this feels relevant to you or someone you care about, give it a read and share it gently.

Not all cleaning is the same.

Sometimes you’re deep cleaning: focusing on one space from top to bottom.
Sometimes you’re Pogo cleaning: bouncing around, putting things away, and trying to keep the chaos down.

Both are useful. They just do different jobs.

A lot of the frustration comes from thinking you’re doing one, when you’re actually doing the other.

Grief does not follow a deadline.

In many communities, there can be an unspoken expectation that after 20 days, 40 days, or a certain ritual or milestone, you should be “okay” again. But grief does not work on a schedule. It does not disappear because time has passed.

At ERWC, we believe people deserve space to talk about grief honestly and without pressure. That grief might be the loss of a parent, a partner, a friend, a pet, or another deeply meaningful relationship. Loss is loss, and it matters.

Fizza, MSW, Psychotherapist, reminds us that grief is not something to rush through. Sometimes healing starts with having room to name the full weight of what has changed.

We offer in-person care in London, Ontario, and virtual psychotherapy across Ontario.
