I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how easy it is to get caught up in what everyone else is doing.

What’s trending. What’s working for someone else. What you’re supposed to be doing.

And honestly, sometimes you just have to come back to what actually feels like you.

The kind of colour that doesn’t need to be freshly done to look good.

A year ago today, I took one of the biggest leaps of my career.

Opening Element Hair Studio has stretched me in ways I never expected. There have been moments that felt exciting, moments that felt overwhelming, and plenty of moments that reminded me why I started this journey in the first place.

What has made it all worth it is the people.

To every client who has trusted me with your hair, recommended me to a friend, cheered me on, or simply chosen to support my small business… thank you!!! I don’t take any of it for granted.

I’m incredibly proud of how far we’ve come in one year, and I’m so excited to see what year two has in store.
