This client came in with heavy lint and wax buildup embedded deep within the locs.

Over time the buildup became part of the loc structure itself. The client had already attempted several apple cider vinegar detox treatments, but once lint becomes embedded inside the loc, detox treatments alone often cannot remove it.

We discussed all available options.

One option would have been manually picking through the locs to remove the lint, but that process can compromise the strength and structure of the loc, especially across a full head — something we always aim to avoid as it doesn’t always work.

Instead, we focused on preserving the integrity of the loc journey.
