✨ L 🦋 wanted to embrace her natural curls for her photoshoot!

✨She expressed concern with knowing how to style and tame the curls since her curl pattern had gotten tighter over the years. She dealt with frizz and some of her curls were more loose in certain areas and tighter in others.

✨This was such a rewarding experience for everyone because I was able to show her how gorgeous her natural curls could be! And she was able to see that, with just a few products, the right styling tools, and some new techniques, she could achieve the same look at home😍

✨The most common statement I get from my mature clients is that they feel they can’t wear shimmer because it will age them further.
✨ I say there’s no rules with makeup, and I think you should do what makes you happy and feel like your best self!
✨I mean, how beautiful does my client look? Before and after makeup! Shimmer and all✨

It’s not always happy occasions and smiles when Makeup is needed.

I had the honour of being on set for a LHSC commercial where the main female talent had been diagnosed with cancer. Makeup was applied to emulate how she would appear having gone through multiple chemo treatments. I also applied fake tears during this scene where the “wife” is embracing her “husband after coming to terms with the fact that she will not be surviving this fight.

This one was intense. The actors were phenomenal and a lot of us got choked up on set. It all felt very real.

I am so grateful to experience these moments❤️
