A (long overdue) update!

TL;DR: I am closing my lash business and opening my books (a bit) for the one last hurrah!

In my last update post, I shared about starting the last semester of my degree which I graduated from in December of last year, yay!

After that, I traveled a bunch (which was incredible) and during my trip, I was offered a part-time teaching position at Fanshawe College. This had been in the works for some time and I was so excited to join the faculty at the Lawrence Kinlin School of Business (LKSB).

This fall I was offered a full-time course load. This is different than a full-time professor position (which is the current goal) but is complicated to explain quickly. Needless to say, I was beyond grateful to receive this offer. Typically, professors teach much longer as part-time faculty before, they are offered a full course load.

all the while, I have been working as a freelance digital marketer when projects come my way. It’s such a fun way to work with many of the small businesses I connected with over the lashing years :)

This update is kind of a three-part announcement:

1. I will be officially closing my Lash business at the end of this holiday season after TEN YEARS of lashing … isn't that wild?! I will still be offering bridal makeup services. And maybeeeee special occasion make up if you ask nicely and don't mind getting your make up done in an apartment kitchen :)

2.) I am opening my books to past clients for the holiday season. If you would like to come for a brow shape, lash lift, or facial service (and a lil' hang!) please DM or text me. Here's my availability: December 10th, 12th, 17th, and 19th from 10am-5:30pm. I have a couple spots open on December 21stas well. First come, first serve!

3.) I am building a new marketing brand: Leslo & Company (.co). it is still in the baby stages, but if you'd like to come along for the ride, I would love to have you! It’s me! And it’s been a while. Mostly I wanted to share one of the beauty branding photos that .photography 📷 graciously offered to take for me 🤍 I don’t love being in front of the camera but we had so much fun in a beautiful space 🌱🌞💻

A couple updates for those of you I don’t speak with regularly (anymore):
• Yes, I am still doing lashes 🫡 but my clientele has been slowly getting smaller (I had hoped to take some more clients back this summer/fall but my school/life schedule hasn’t allowed it - very bittersweet!)
• If you are a client who I don’t have room for anymore please know that I think of you often 🥰 it’s an odd type of breakup, especially in such a ‘personal’ service industry! Sending you some extra warm fuzzies
• I just started the last semester of my digital marketing degree 🫠🤯 where did the time go?!
• Being on the cusp of such a big career change is WEIRD. And exciting. And scary. If you have any advice please DM me! (No I’m not leaving the beauty service business entirely [yet])
• I see and appreciate all the different types of support I’ve received from my clients over the years and through the changes and I it warms my heart more than you know 🙏🏻

So many things to say about the pandemic, how it squashed my love and creativity for makeup … but in this moment I am grateful to have built a skill set that helps beautiful women feel even more beautiful on such an important day! ✨

Back into the swing of things post apocalypse 💃🏼 I’m loving being welcomed into clients’ homes, being able to touch their faces, and enjoying be comfortable around each other 🥰
