After being off for 8 weeks, ( 7 for surgery recovery and 1 more because of the flu 😷 ) I am happy to announce my return to work tomorrow, Tuesday June 9th! I had a warm up shampooing our sweet Foster Dog, Wiley, today!💆🏼‍♀️🐕🛁 I can't wait to see you all! Thank you for your care and understanding during my time off; knowing you were thinking of me got me through some difficult days! I look forward to being behind the chair again! ❤️

It was cold and we were some of the last to return, but we did it! 5km around and made some friends along the way! AND my surgeon from the IWK was even there to show her support! 💛🌼 Sending many thanks to those that supported this initiative!

Finally starting to feel a bit more human being 1 month post-op! 🤗

Happy May everyone! I'm 3 weeks post-op! 🏥 How are you doing? I miss you! ❤️The healing process is slow but the time is going rather quickly. I'm doing a little each day but forced to rest most of the time. I have to say the hormone crash from having the iud removed has been a VERY bumpy roller coaster, but I'm hanging on! I've been blessed with family visits, yummy food and beautiful flowers to help brighten my days. 💐

I am happy to say that I am home and doing well after surgery. All is as expected and I am being a good patient doing (and not doing) everything I am supposed to. Nurse kitty is keeping a watchful eye on me and I am so blessed to have the most wonderful husband and caregiver, Jonathan, at my side. The nurses at the IWK Women's centre were exceptional and made my time there as comfortable as possible. I am tired and sore but recovery mode has begun and although this is not a cure, I look forward to having some relief and brighter days ahead!
