đĽď¸ Weekend Reflection
Sometimes the most meaningful changes begin with simply noticing.
Looking up.
Taking a breath.
Seeing something that was there all along.
I took this photo on one of my walks and love pausing to notice the shapes in the clouds.
The cool thing is, we often donât see the same thing. I see someone sitting among the clouds⌠what do you see?
đđ˝ Comment below and tell me what you notice.
I hope you found a moment to notice something beautiful this weekend. đ

We often respond to cravings in one of two ways:
Fight them.
Or satisfy them.
But what if thereâs another option?
Sometimes a craving may be asking for something beyond food.
This week, try asking:
What might this craving be trying to tell me?
Not to judge it.
Just to understand it.

Have you ever finished a meal and still felt like something was missing?
This week Iâm exploring the difference between feeling full and feeling satisfied.
Theyâre not always the same thing.
What helps you feel satisfied after a meal?

A craving isnât always asking for food.
Sometimes itâs asking for:
đ Rest
đ Connection
đ Fresh air
đ Movement
đ Fun
đ A break
And sometimes...
itâs still the cookie.
The pause isnât about talking yourself out of eating.
Itâs about becoming curious enough to understand what you need.
What else might you be hungry for today?

Sometimes cravings ask us to slow down long enough to notice what we need.
Sometimes they can be a gentle signal to slow down and notice whatâs happening around usâor within us.
Hereâs a simple invitation:
Pause for a moment and notice your breath.
Then, if it feels comfortable, take two or three deeper breaths than you normally would.
Nothing dramatic or showy that anyone else would notice.
Just intentionally breathing a little deeperâperhaps noticing your chest or belly gently expand as you breathe.
Sometimes we think support has to be complicated.
But small practices can create meaningful shifts over time.
đ Have you ever noticed a difference when you pause for a few deeper breaths?

A little reminder that nourishment can look different from day to day đ
Sometimes itâs a meal.
Sometimes itâs rest.
And sometimes itâs making space for something creative or calming that helps us slow down and reconnect.
This knitting project (in progress) has been one of those moments for me lately đ
Whatâs been bringing you a little nourishment lately?

We sometimes think progress with cravings means never wanting the food⌠or never eating it.
But real life is usually more nuanced than that.
Sometimes the win isnât avoiding the food.
I love adding my favourite fruits to create a refreshing salad like this one đ
Itâs not perfectly styled or carefully curatedâjust colourful, nourishing, and layered in as I cut each ingredient.
The fruit pieces arenât perfectly matched and I donât spend much time thinking about presentationâI simply enjoy creating something fresh and satisfying.
I like to think of this as a gentle reminder that mindful eating isnât about getting everything âright.â
Sometimes the win is noticing what we need, making a conscious choice, and eating with a little less guilt or inner struggle.
Mindful eating isnât about perfection.
Sometimes the win is simply choosing, enjoying, and letting nourishment be enough.
Itâs about awareness, choice, and compassion along the way đ

Awareness doesnât always mean the moment changes instantly.
Sometimes it simply means we notice.
And that noticing can be the beginning of understanding ourselves a little differently.
Have you ever noticed yourself wanting to eat even when you werenât especially hungry?

Sometimes one insight about our cravings or eating patterns helps us understand something new.
And other times, itâs seeing how the different things we notice connect that creates a clearer picture.
Over the last little while, weâve been exploring simple ideas around noticing patterns, understanding cravings, and slowing down before eating.
Each one matters on its own.
But together, they can help us understand our eating experiences with a little more awarenessâand a little more compassion đ
Have you ever had a moment where different things you noticed suddenly started making more sense when you looked at them together?
05/14/2026
Recently, I noticed myself wanting to eat something even though I had eaten about an hour earlier.
I wasnât exactly hungry.
But eating something still felt comforting in the moment.
That small moment reminded me how quickly these patterns can happenâespecially during stressful or busy seasons.
Sometimes awareness doesnât instantly change the moment.
But it can help us begin understanding whatâs happening underneath it.
