This is a bittersweet post to make!
After 28 years of being 'just' a hairstylist, I have made a very exciting change!
Starting August 29, I am going to be working at Medicine Hat High School, following my dream of training students to become Hairstylists! I will be working as the Journeyman Education Assistant in the Cosmetology Classes! I will also be an EA for Life Skills Classes which I am very intrigued and excited about!
It will be an interesting transition as I move to being only part time at the salon.
In this period of change, I ask for your patience and understanding. I will continue to provide services for as many clients as possible, but I will also be client sharing, mostly with Kara Flaig. I'm sure that many of you have seen her bright smiling face around the shop. She is the owner of Cuts and Stuff and a very gifted artist that I've been working with for the last almost 3.5 years. I love that I have someone that I trust so completely to pass on a clientele that I have worked so hard to establish and build relationships with!
Moving forward, prebooking appointments will become very important, so be sure to do that! I will probably be working two evenings per week and Friday afternoons! I will not be accepting new clients anymore.

I decided several months ago that Julie's wedding would be my last that i do hair at, for many reasons. I was so happy to end this phase of my career helping to showcase the beauty of my sweet friend and honestly, it's a little bittersweet!

A couple of months ago I ran a contest with Cole's Event Tent Rentals.
This lovely lady is turning 13 on Sunday and her Mom gifted her the color and cut that she won!
It was a pleasure to spend my afternoon with Maryssa and transform her hair to this gorgeous red and blue black split color!

This guy is going to his first Comicon (is that how you spell it?) All I really know is that you get to do Cosplay! This kid was BORN for Cosplay! I had a hard time finding a picture of his hair in my archives of pictures where he didn't have it covered with some type of costume! The amount of times that I send shopping with a green dragon because he didn't want to change out of the costume he was wearing is a bit shocking!
I may not know anything about his character he's dressing as, but we got his hair to this from very dark brown in one sitting!
For those of you that don't recognize him, this is my Matthew and boy, did this haircolour take me back! It's SO SIMILAR to his hair from childhood!
