From full growth to bare patches 🤍✨
These bald spots are exactly what we want to see — proof that consistent electrolysis appointments are paying off. Hair grows in cycles, and staying on schedule means we’re catching more hairs at the perfect stage for permanent removal.
Slowly but surely, her underarms are becoming smoother, softer, and lower maintenance every visit 🙌
Consistency = results 🔥

obsessed with permanent results
when my beautiful client started with me, we were working on her hormonal, chin hair, once a week. each week.
she has been consistent and committed, and we were able to move her appointments from once a week, into 10 days, into two weeks, and now she only comes every three weeks cause I love our appointments 🤍😩
but I absolutely love seeing progress like this!

We recommend mineral-based SPF with simple, skin-respecting ingredients—especially while your skin is healing ✨

Let’s be honest. Most people don’t think skipping SPF is a big deal.
During Electrolysis? It is.
You’re working on the follicle, but your skin is doing the healing, and UV exposure can turn that healing process into pigmentation, irritation, and uneven results.
This isn’t about perfection.
It’s about not sabotaging your own progress.
SPF isn’t extra. It’s essential.
convention time! 👏🏾

When you’re doing electrolysis, the goal is to keep the skin calm, intact, and not overly stimulated. Anything that thins, exfoliates, or sensitizes the skin can increase the risk of irritation, pigmentation, or even scarring.
🚫 Products to AVOID with Electrolysis:
1. Retinoids (Vitamin A derivatives)
* Retinol, Retin-A, Tretinoin, Adapalene (Differin)
* ❌ Avoid at least 5–7 days before & after
* Why: They thin/sensitize skin → higher risk of burns, pigment changes, scarring
⸻
2. Exfoliating Acids
* AHAs (glycolic, lactic, mandelic)
* BHAs (salicylic acid)
* PHAs
* ❌ Avoid ~1 week before & after
* Why: These accelerate cell turnover and weaken the skin barrier → can cause irritation + post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
⸻
3. Benzoyl Peroxide & Acne Actives
* Spot treatments, acne washes
* ❌ Avoid around treatment window
* Why: Drying + irritating → delays healing and increases sensitivity
⸻
4. Chemical Peels & Strong Treatments
* Professional or at-home peels
* ❌ Avoid 2+ weeks before/after
* Why: Skin is already exfoliated → electrolysis can over-traumatize it
⸻
5. Physical Exfoliants
* Scrubs, brushes, dermaplaning tools
* ❌ Avoid until fully healed
* Why: Can disrupt healing follicles and cause scarring
⸻
6. Alcohol-Based / Harsh Products
* Toners with alcohol, astringents
* ❌ Avoid immediately after
* Why: Over-drying + stinging on open follicles
⸻
7. Heavy Makeup & Occlusives (Immediately After)
* Foundation, thick creams (first 24 hrs)
* ❌ Avoid short-term post-treatment
* Why: Can trap bacteria in open follicles → breakouts/infection
⸻
⚠️ Bonus: Medications to Flag:
* Accutane → must be stopped 6+ months prior
* Prescription retinoids → pause before treatments
⸻
✅ What IS Safe Instead:
* Gentle cleanser
* Barrier-repair moisturizer
* Aloe vera / calming serums
* SPF (very important between sessions)
⸻
💡 The Simple Rule:
If it exfoliates, peels, dries, or speeds up cell turnover →
pause it.
