The process to get to a blended look from a Root Retouch Haircoloring Service is a big one! Half the work is done by me, and the other half is the client (managing tone at home, structural care and gentle styling with proper products).

There are many factors that go into to play for each individual client and their haircolor history, gray pattern/percentage, and last but most importantly- if their hair can take it !(Integrity of the hair, and environmental influences like Well Water and the clients lifestyle play a big role. But, as long as the client is up for it, all of this can be managed with proper products and care).

To keep your reds vivid and poppin’, I always suggest that my clients use a Color Depositing Mask in their desired shade. There are lots of brands out there with a variety of shades to choose from. My favourites are Color Depositing Masks, Chi, and Biolage. You can add these masks to any hair for a non-permanent Color- but just remember that the lighter and more porous your hair is, the longer the pigment can “stain”.

Oh- and watch out for your light coloured towels, sheets and apparel. Magic erasers work wonders for stains on the bathtub- we don’t want MOM yelling at ya for staining the porcelain 😅
