Relaxation vs Deep Tissue Massage, which do you prefer?
Relaxation massage is just that, a massage to help you relax. Pressure is applied to muscles in the direction of blood flow to the heart. Not as much pressure as deep tissue though. It helps increase circulation, stretch tendons and ligaments, great for your skin and helps to activate your parasympathetic nervous system (rest/digest) resulting in whole body and mind relaxation. π§πΎββοΈ
Deep tissue is much firmer pressure and is not so relaxing. The deeper pressure helps to break up scar tissue, helps with musculoskeletal injuries from sports and activities. πͺ
