🌿❤️ A LITTLE REMINDER THAT I’M HUMAN TOO ❤️🌿
On August 24th, I was out in my garden doing what I love, Somewhere tangled in blackberry bushes was either poison oak, ivy, or sumac, and unfortunately, it scratched me

At first, I thought, “I’ve got this.” 😅
I started trying every natural homemade remedy I could think of to help soothe it. My homemade pain lotion was working so well, I convinced myself I was fine.

Well… apparently my body had other plans. 🤦‍♀️
I kept pushing myself through work, markets, shows and everything else I had going on. I was determined to keep going and just deal with it.
Finally, on thursday Sept 3 my husband put his foot down and said, “Enough. We’re going to urgent care.” ❤️
I was diagnosed with an infection and now I’m on antibiotics. The worst part is thankfully behind me, but WOW… the itching and discomfort have been no joke. 😩

I’m trying my best to stay positive, but I’m also going to be honest when you’re uncomfortable for days and your body isn’t cooperating, it can really take a toll on your mental health.

I’m stubborn. 😂 I wanted so badly to handle this naturally. I believe deeply in the things I make and the natural remedies I use, and I’ll always be passionate about them.

But this experience reminded me of something important: Sometimes we need the doctor. ❤️

Getting medical help doesn’t mean we’ve failed. It doesn’t mean we’re weak. It doesn’t mean we’re a burden.

It means we’re human.

And sometimes taking care of ourselves means knowing when it’s time to accept a little help.
So here I am… taking my antibiotics, trying not to scratch myself into oblivion 😂, resting when I can, and reminding myself that healing takes time.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support me, especially when I’m not operating at 100%. Your kindness means more than you know. ❤️🌿

And to my stubborn fellow humans out there listen to your body. Sometimes the natural route and modern medicine can both have their place. There’s absolutely no shame in needing a doctor
