Blonde season is officially back. ☀️💁🏼‍♀️

Let’s talk about Madi’s blonde journey, and why listening to your hairstylist is so important. 👏🏼✨

Madi first sat in my chair in December 2023 (last photo). Her goal? To get back to long, healthy, blonde hair but we both knew that healthy hair had to come before blonde hair.

For the next year and a half, we focused on rebuilding her hair. Every 6 weeks she came in for a trim to stop the breakage from travelling, and every other appointment we refreshed her natural colour with a gloss to keep everything looking healthy and blended (slides 5 & 6).

By May 2025, her hair had reached a point where we both felt comfortable lightening it again (slide 4). We took it slow and kept her hair’s integrity the top priority.

Then in January 2026, she came in with the most incredible amount of new growth, so instead of doing a full blonde, we opted for a subtle refresh a hairline blonding with a bright money piece and a few foils along the part line.

Fast forward to July 2026, and it was finally time… she’s back to being a blonde! 🙌🏼

This transformation wasn’t achieved in one appointment. It took patience, consistency, trusting the process, using quality home care, and keeping up with regular maintenance appointments.

The result? Long, thick, healthy blonde hair again. (…And maybe getting pregnant helped a little too. 😂🤍)

So consider this your third reminder: trust your hairstylist. We promise there’s a reason we tell you to be patient. 😉
