Full Time Industrial Millwright/Maintenance Person

About Us: V.I.P. Soap Products Ltd. is a family-owned, environmentally responsible detergent and household cleaner manufacturing company in Mission, BC. We ship worldwide and have been in business since 1951. We attribute our sustained growth in part to the daily contributions of our team members. We have an opportunity for a MILLWRIGHT / MAINTENANCE person to join our staff to meet the demands of our growing business.

About You: If you're the right person for this job, then you take direction well, being willing and able to work within a team as needed, while also being able to work effectively with minimal supervision. You are very familiar with manufacturing equipment and you keep meticulous records of such things as maintenance records, repair logs, etc. You are self-motivated, a fast learner, responsible and reliable. You are solution-oriented and adapt to new things quickly. You are looking for long-term, full-time employment.

Job Duties:
- Inspect, Troubleshoot, Examine and Maintain existing equipment
- Rebuild pumps, drive systems, gear boxes, conveyors, valves, knife gates
- Forklift basic maintenance
- Design, fabricate and implement improvements
- Maintain facility infrastructure
- Perform Preventative Maintenance
- Maintain organized records, both written and computerized
- Work effectively and efficiently within an ethnically diverse workforce
- Initiate and maintain positive co-worker interactions within a team
- Prioritize safety at all times
- Constant equipment improvement

Skills/Experience Required:
- Strong Mechanical skills and attention to detail
- Pumps, Gearboxes, drive systems
- Hydraulics and Pneumatics
- Several years of experience in maintaining manufacturing equipment
- Extremely organized and proficient with online record keeping
- Positive attitude, easy going and ability to work with many different personalities.
- Adaptable to quickly changing environment
- Disciplined, able to work on own and in a team environment
- Able to work with changing schedules and overtime as needed
- Electrical and Automation experience an asset

Hours: This is a full-time, 40hr/week position (Monday-Thursday, 6am-4:30pm). Must be able to work flexible hours, overtime and on call duty if needed.
