PMU camouflage can seem like the perfect solution to cover unwanted or uneven brows… but it can make future correction and removal MUCH more complicated. 😬

🎨 Camouflage pigments are often designed to match your skin tone, but once implanted, they can behave differently than expected over time.

⚠️ When it comes to laser removal, these pigments may contain titanium dioxide, iron oxides, or other light pigments that can react unpredictably — including darkening or changing colour.

❌ What looks like a quick fix today can become a much longer removal journey tomorrow.

✨ My advice: Before covering old PMU with camouflage pigment, make sure you understand the long-term consequences and whether removal is possible.

Not all laser removal is created equal.

Pico laser uses ultra-short picosecond pulses to target unwanted tattoo pigment and break it down into smaller particles, allowing the body to gradually clear the pigment.

For eyebrow PMU removal, the goal is effective pigment reduction with as little unnecessary trauma to the skin as possible. When the pigment responds well, achieving better clearance in fewer sessions can mean fewer treatment cycles and less cumulative stress on the skin.

One thing clients often worry about is their brow hair becoming lighter after treatment. This can be a temporary effect. As the hair grows through the follicle, its natural colour can return.

That’s why I don’t believe we should sacrifice effective pigment removal just to preserve a temporary change in hair colour.

The goal is to remove the old pigment so we can get your brows back to a clean canvas. 🤍

Every pigment behaves differently, so treatment settings and wavelengths should always be customized to the individual.
