Well guys we are home and on the road to recovery. Home sweet home I tell ya. She’s in a lot of discomfort and can’t talk well and is low energy but I’m such the little warrior she is will be up and moving in no time

Yesterday we said goodbye to one of my most beautiful , outgoing, kind, funny and understanding friend and client. As we said goodbye and listed to the kinds words given for you said by your family, I realized something. I cried so hard when your mom, sweet Laura mentioned how you bring people together. Well Maddy I need to say thank you. Because without you we wouldn’t DOO IT UP. I looked around and saw so many of my clients,at that moment it hit me. You made us. You brought me so many customers when i decided to open my own doors. You were one of my biggest supporters, along with your sister and your mom. They say your hair dresser is your therapist. but I’m pretty sure it was the opposite here. We have shared many moments. From your first date. To finding out I’m pregnant with Ryder. From your grad and prom to cutting your hair for your oh so special day. I’m so proud and honoured to have had you in our life sweet Maddy. Thank you for building us and blessing us with your beautiful smile. May you Rest In Peace angel!

Hello Everyone,

We have an announcement to share and if this is brand new news to you, please brace yourself.

As of October 30th, the salon will be closing indefinitely.

It has been an incredible 10+ years and the salon has been Amanda’s baby, but now with her actual baby, it’s too much for one person. This salon has been a labour of love that holds so many beautiful memories and Doo’s, but it’s time to close the chapter and move on to the next.

Thank you so much for the past 10 years. It has been a wild ride and from the bottom of our hearts, we love you all who have been supporting this business and have been loyal clients.

That being said, the salon may be closing but Amanda is not!

We will be keeping this account active but please expect some re-branding and a new name. We may be closing one door, but opening many more.

The last day at the salon will be Saturday where we will then close the Doo It Up door, and leave it in our rear-view with so much love 🖤🤍

We are officially in Fall and you know what that means, everyone wants to change their ✨Hair Colour ✨

In this post we are talking BIG hair transformations and we wanted to spotlight one of our clients, Sam, who has been on a long hair journey with Amanda at Doo It Up.

As you scroll through the first few images are what we have been doing for her lately and when you reach the collage, STOP. Swipe right to see where she started. 🤯

Changing your hair colour drastically is not a one-day or one session process. In the collage photo, you’ll see Sam’s hair in the first year of her hair transformation. The 1st-2nd in the collage is after her first appointment which was divided into 2 session which took 7(!!) hours. You’ll notice at the top is where the major change is but toward the bottom she’s still dark. She moved through a lot of phases where she was caramel, and deeper versions of what she wanted. It wasn’t until a year later where she was closer to her inspo which was a White/silver/lilac where she is now.

Our friends, please be like Sam. Sam was patient and consistent with her appointments. She uses the suggested products by our hair expert but most importantly, she buckled up for the process.

Amanda would NEVER compromise the integrity of your hair to get you from black box die to white (sorry Kim K, but your hair was fried!).

Your hair transformation is a ✨process✨ that needs to be trusted and enjoyed! Sam tried many different variations of fun colours along the way and loved it! Currently she’s been doing an ashy white and her hair is in great shape 👏🏼🤍

Trust the hair process friends! Amanda knows what she’s doing and wants you to reach your hair goals in the best shape possible. She’s in it for the ride but you have to buckle up too!
