Holistic + Chinese Medicine Nutrition đ Hi!
I'm Meghan, a Registered Acupuncturist. I studied at the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in Bedford, NS and graduated in October 2023. I enjoy using acupuncture to treat a wide range of different health concerns, with mental health & womenâs health being what I am most passionate about. I have a background in holistic nutrition and aesthetics, so you can always expect nutritional advice and a spa-like flare in my treatments. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my pets, friends, and family, crafting and creating, reading, picking up new hobbies and learning new things. :)

Your body feels the effects of stress long before you consciously realize youâre overwhelmed.
When stress stays elevated for too long, your body can get stuck in a state of âfight-or-flight".
You might notice:
⢠Trouble falling or staying asleep
⢠Feeling tired but wired
⢠Muscle tension, especially in your neck & shoulders
⢠Headaches
⢠Digestive changes
⢠Jaw clenching (making a conscious effort to unclench my jaw as I type this)
⢠Racing thoughts
⢠Irritability or feeling emotionally âon edgeâ
How Does Acupuncture Help?
Acupuncture stimulates nerves in the skin and muscles, sending calming signals to the brain and nervous system that help your body relax, regulate, and tap into its natural healing processes.
And let me tell you -- if you haven't experienced an acu nap yet, it is a magical power nap like no other.
Rather than simply masking symptoms, acupuncture treatments can be part of a broader approach to helping your body move out of that constant state of stress.
With Regular Acupuncture Appointments Some People Notice:
⨠Feeling more relaxed
⨠Better sleep
⨠Less muscle tension
⨠Improved digestion
⨠Fewer stress-related headaches
⨠Feeling more grounded and regulated
Our bodies talk to us, and stress isn't just âin your headâ.
If you've been feeling like your nervous system is constantly âon,â acupuncture may be one tool to help you slow down, reconnect, and support your body's natural ability to regulate. đ

Why is everyone suddenly talking about lymphatic drainage?
And can acupuncture help support the lymphatic system?
Short answer: Yesâacupuncture can support healthy lymphatic flow.
But first, letâs talk about why lymphatic drainage has become such a hot topic.
Many people are noticing symptoms that can be linked to a sluggish lymphatic system, like puffiness, fluid retention, congestion, skin issues, or feeling inflamed and slow to recover.
Our lymphatic system relies on movement, hydration, and nervous system balance to function wellâand modern life doesnât always support those things.
Common contributors to sluggish lymphatic flow:
⢠Chronic stress
⢠Sedentary lifestyle
⢠Hormonal changes
⢠Inflammation or immune load
⢠Dehydration
⢠Poor sleep
So where does acupuncture come in?
Acupuncture supports the lymphatic system indirectly but powerfully by improving circulation, reducing inflammation, regulating the nervous system, and promoting relaxation and recovery.
The stress connection is a big one.
When the body is stuck in fight-or-flight mode, circulation and fluid movement can slow down.
When we shift into a rest-and-repair state, drainage and healing happen more efficiently.
Supporting stress is supporting lymphatic flow.
Acupuncture isnât the same as manual lymphatic drainageâbut it can be a powerful complementary therapy that supports the system from the inside out.
