❤️ This is why we do Cash for Class.

Every time I look back at these photos, I smile.

2 years ago, with the support of our wonderful clients, we were able to help teachers purchase things they truly needed for their students.

And this is one of my favorite examples. ❤️

With the money she received from our Cash for Class campaign, this teacher was able to buy keyboards for her music class.

Look at those faces. 🥹🎹

Sometimes when we donate $1, $5 or $10, it may not feel like much.

But when we put all those little contributions together, they become something real.

A keyboard.
A book.
A learning tool.
An opportunity for a child to discover something they love.

That’s why I’m so grateful to every client who supported us.

You didn’t just come to Jimmy Nail Salon to get your nails done. You helped us do something good for our community.

And seeing these children enjoying what we were able to help provide reminds me why I wanted to bring Cash for Class back again this year. 📚❤️

Thank you for helping me turn a small business into a small way of doing good.

One client. One dollar. One small act at a time. Together, it adds up. 🌱

🌿 HAND NOTE #1

Why Do Our Hands Seem to Age So Fast?

We moisturize our face.
We apply serum.
We remember sunscreen.

But our hands?

They wash the dishes.
Clean the house.
Touch water, soap and sanitizer all day long.
And spend plenty of time in the sun.

Yet we often give them… whatever lotion happens to be nearby. 😊

Over time, the skin on the backs of our hands can become drier and thinner, with wrinkles and dark spots becoming more noticeable.

So perhaps hand care shouldn’t begin when our hands look old.

It should begin much earlier—with a few simple habits:

Moisturize after washing. Protect your hands from harsh cleaning products. Apply sunscreen to the backs of your hands when they’re exposed to the sun. And give them a little massage at the end of the day.

Nothing complicated.

Just a little care, consistently.

Because your hands have spent years taking care of everyone and everything around you.

Maybe it’s time to take care of them, too. ❤️

☀️ 7:00 AM — A Little Morning Happiness

This morning, I’m holding a warm cup of tea and thinking…

Not every morning needs to start with a rush.

Sometimes we wake up and our mind is already at 100 km/hour. 😄

What needs to be done?
Who needs me?
What did I forget?

Meanwhile, the tea is getting cold.

Maybe this morning, we can do something different.

Hold your cup.

Feel the warmth.

Take one slow sip.

And remind yourself:

I don’t have to live the whole day at once.

I only need to live this moment.

🌿 Today’s little action:

Before you rush into your day, enjoy your first drink slowly.

Even two quiet minutes count.

A peaceful day can begin with one peaceful moment.

With love,

A little pink. A little black. A little gold. And a lot of personality. 💕🖤✨

Who says your nails have to choose between elegant and fun?

This set brings them together—soft pink for femininity, black for confidence, and a touch of gold for that little something extra.

Because sometimes self-care is calm and simple…
and sometimes it says, “Today, I want to have fun.” 💅

Your nails are a small canvas.
Make them yours.

☀️ 7:00 AM — A Little Morning Happiness

Here’s a little thought for this morning:

Don’t wait for a special occasion to tell someone they matter.

We often think nice things about people…

She’s such a good friend.

I’m so lucky to have her.

I really appreciate what he does for me.

But somehow, those thoughts stay inside our heads.

And the person we love never gets to hear them. 😊

Life gets busy.

Days become weeks.

Weeks become years.

And sometimes we forget that one of the simplest ways to make someone happy is simply to let them know:

“I appreciate you.”

🌿 Today’s little action:

Think of one person who makes your life a little better.

Send them a message.

Call them.

Or tell them face-to-face:

“I’m grateful you’re in my life.”

It may take you only a few seconds…

but it might stay in their heart all day. 🤍

And who knows?

You might make two people happier this morning — them and you.

Why Do We Take Our Hands for Granted?

Take a moment.

Look down at your hands.

Not your phone.

Not your watch.

Just your hands.

They’ve already been working for you today.

They turned off your alarm.
Made your morning coffee.
Buttoned your shirt.
Held your child’s hand.
Opened the front door.
Typed emails.
Prepared meals.
Comforted someone you love.

And yet…

When was the last time you truly cared for them?

We notice our hands when a nail breaks.

When the skin becomes dry.

When age spots appear.

But healthy hands are about much more than beautiful nails.

They help us work.
Create.
Cook.
Write.
Hug.
Hold.
Comfort.
Express love without saying a word.

Our hands tell the story of our lives.

They quietly carry our responsibilities, our memories, and sometimes even our worries.

Perhaps that’s why they deserve more than a quick coat of lotion.

They deserve a few mindful moments each day.

A gentle massage.

A nourishing cream.

Protection from the sun.

A short stretch after hours of typing.

Small acts of care.

Not because our hands need to look younger.

But because they never stop taking care of us.

This is why I’m starting the Healthy Hands Project.

Not to help people have prettier hands.

But to help people appreciate them.

Because beautiful hands begin with healthy hands.

And healthy hands begin with kindness.

To yourself.

☀️ 7:00 AM — A Little Morning Happiness

Before you make your to-do list this morning, ask yourself one little question:

“How do I want to feel today?”

Peaceful?

Happy?

Patient?

Present?

We usually start our mornings thinking about everything we need to do.

Work.
Appointments.
Errands.
People to take care of.

And before we know it, the day is already running us. 😄

Maybe today, try something different.

Choose how you want to feel before choosing what you need to do.

If you choose peace, slow down.

If you choose joy, notice something beautiful.

If you choose kindness, start with yourself.

🌿 Today’s little action:

Pick one word for your day.

Mine today is:

Peace. 🤍

What’s yours?

☀️ 7:00 AM — A Little Morning Happiness

Sometimes happiness is much simpler than we think.

A warm cup of tea.

A quiet morning.

A few minutes with nowhere to rush.

We often tell ourselves:

“I’ll be happy when…”

When work gets easier.
When I have more time.
When everything finally falls into place.

But life doesn’t only happen in the big moments.

Life is happening right now.

In the warmth of the cup in your hands.

In the first sip of tea.

In the morning light.

In this ordinary little moment we almost forgot to enjoy. ☕️

🌿 Today’s little action:

Take five minutes today to enjoy something simple.

No phone.
No rushing.
No multitasking.

Just be there.

Because sometimes…

the little things aren’t little at all.

Wishing you a beautiful morning. 🤍

Some nail appointments pay me with money.

And some give me something far more valuable. ❤️

Every Monday, I set aside a little time to visit a nursing home and care for the residents’ hands and feet.

Today, I sat across from this lovely lady and gently cared for her nails.

I looked at her hands and thought…

These hands have lived almost a lifetime.

They may have cooked thousands of meals, worked hard, cared for a family, held children—and perhaps grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

And now, these hands need someone to care for them.

Whenever I spend time with the elderly, I often think of my own mom.

It reminds me that caring for someone doesn’t always require a grand gesture.

Sometimes it’s simply trimming their nails.
Applying a little lotion to aging hands.
Sitting beside them for a while.
And helping them feel:

“I am still cared for. I still deserve to feel clean, beautiful, and loved—at any age.”

I go there thinking I’m the one giving.

But so often, I leave realizing that I received even more. ❤️

Beauty has no age.
And kindness doesn’t have to be something big to make a difference.

☀️ 7:00 AM — A Little Morning Happiness

Every time I look at this little bonsai, I think:

Beautiful things take time.

A tree doesn’t become strong overnight. It grows quietly, a little each day.

Life is like that too. We may not notice our progress, but we are still growing.

Maybe you’re wiser, calmer, or stronger than you were a year ago. That’s growth too. 🌿

🌱 Today’s little action:

Instead of asking, “How far do I still have to go?”

Ask yourself:

“How far have I already come?”

Keep growing, and give yourself time.
