Shanda Does Hair

Just a heads up I’m heading out on my annual January holiday, if you are needing in before or after please let me know, i will not be answering any messages while I’m away!

20 years ago this week I started on an adventure that would change my life. We didn’t have Instagram, Facebook was new and we weren’t using it for marketing, we had disposable cameras and a dream.

I’ve worked give or take 41,740 hours in this industry which, is a crazy amount of time to spend doing anything, but nothing changes the feeling I get when someone loves the way they look or the way they feel after leaving my chair. I’ve shared laughs, tears, hugs, celebrations with clients who have become my friends.

I’ve been blessed to stand behind the chair, but also to share my knowledge as an instructor which also feels crazy. I can assure you this 17 year old emo haired girl never expected to be instructing anyone 🤪

20 years of hair, heart and hustle, 20 years of making bad hair days disappear, 20 years of growing, learning, creating, 20 years in the hair game… not new, just legendary. (And so fricken grateful)

That’s a wrap, headed into Christmas with an incredibly full heart. I know times are tough and budgets are tight but from the bottom of my heart thank you to everyone who fit me into their budget this year. It’s because of all of you that I get to do what I love every single day and I’m eternally grateful for every butt in my chair, for every time you send your friends and family, for every social media like and post. Thank you. Merry Christmas and to all a good night!
