I’m not saying changing your hair color solves all of your problems, I’m just saying maybe we should do more research.

Hot tips:

1. Lay off the heat, but absolutely use heat protectant spray if you need to use heat.
2. Stop with the tights updos. Try braids, or claw clips, or anything that isn’t tight.
3. Oil it up. Apply a hair oil to the mid strands to ends before bed, throw it in a braid and call it a night.
4. Wear a bonnet or use a silk or satin pillowcase. Cotton will cause friction.
5. Get regular trims. Split ends will continue up the strand, cutting them is the only solution.
6. Let it air dry, and for the love of God do not go to bed with wet hair!

You probably have breakage, and that’s why it feels like it isn’t growing. My biggest tip is oil, braid, bonnet and then bed. There is nothing sexier than healthy hair. K there are a few things sexier, but you get my point.

Can you believe this babe is a reformed black box dye girly? It took a year, and she lost some length, but she’s blonde, and still has hair on her head! 😁

I also used to believe this… *embarrassing to admit*

However, colour actually takes better on clean hair free of product, and build up. Save some money by having to colour less often, and wash your hair before your hair appointment.

Us mothers take the blame for a lot, kid dressed themselves? Mom should’ve done it. Papers not signed for school? Mom’s fault. Kid misbehaves? Mom’s fault. Becomes a serial killer? Mom’s fault. 😭😂

However, baldness is not necessarily one of them! While genetics plays a roll, it depends on where the dominant gene comes from, and can come from either side. If one side has more hair loss problems, it’s probably from that side.

So apologize to your mom today for all of the things you blamed her for, she probably doesn’t deserve it. You should probably buy her a plant too. Maybe a book to go with it.

Also… don’t murder people.

It’s been a while since I last posted. The past few months have been incredibly difficult, and while I’ve been working here and there, I haven’t shared much of what’s been going on.

On June 13th, my Dad passed away after a tough battle with cancer. It’s a cruel disease, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I’m incredibly grateful for the time we had together — especially in the final week, and throughout the last year and a half. Those moments will always mean the world to me.

To my amazing clients: thank you so much for your patience, kindness, and understanding during this time. My hours have shifted slightly, but I’m currently in the salon from Wednesday through Saturday, and I’m looking forward to reconnecting with you all.
