Listening to the body’s subtle whispers. ✨
When I saw this definition in the image, it resonated with me so deeply. It describes exactly what drew me to manual osteopathy.

My background as a Registered Kinesiologist gave me an incredible foundation in the mechanics of how muscles and joints move. But as a student manual osteopathic therapist, I am learning to look at the body through an entirely new lens—one where everything is beautifully interconnected.

Right now, I am deep into studying Visceral Manipulation (working with the movement and health of internal organs). When you combine that with what I’ve learned so far in Osteoarticulation (joints), Craniosacral Therapy, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage, the bigger picture becomes so clear: everything is connected.

Your organs need space to move, your joints need alignment, and your fluid systems need to flow freely so your body can tap into its inherent capacity to heal. The science of kinesiology and the philosophy of manual therapy are blending perfectly.

Whether you want to work on a specific issue at my regular practice or snag a special student rate to support my clinic hours, I have two options for you next month ,but still taking appointments this month in Moose Jaw! 👇

Building the pieces of the puzzle 🧩✨

Over the last several months, my journey through my manual osteopathy curriculum has been all about learning how to listen to the body’s deeper rhythms. Every course I take adds another essential tool to my practice at Prairie Motion Therapy , allowing me to look at your health through a truly complete, holistic lens.
So far, my training has taken me deep into the interconnected layers of the human body:

Myofascial Release:Working with the continuous web of connective tissue to release deep-seated structural tension.
Osteoarticular Adjustments:Gentle mobilization to restore natural alignment, tracking, and motion to the joints.

Lymphatic Drainage: Supporting the body’s fluid dynamics to reduce swelling, clear stagnation, and boost immune health.

Craniosacral Therapy: Working with the subtle rhythms of the nervous system and skull to calm the body from the inside out.

What’s did I just complete the first steps of?
Right now, I am diving into Visceral Treatments—which means focusing on the health and mobility of your internal organs (like the liver, stomach, and intestines).
It might sound surprising to think of treating organs in a physical therapy setting, but remember: it is all connected.

Your organs are held in place by fascia, wrapped in nerves, and completely integrated into how you move. Restriction in an organ can create a ripple effect that shows up as tightness in your back, hips, or shoulders.
Every single system affects the next. By bringing myofascial, joint, fluid, nervous, and visceral systems into harmony, we help the body do what it does best: heal itself. 🌾

Your body talks in whispers. Are you listening to the right places? 🎙️✨

Have you ever had a stubborn, mysterious ache—like a nagging right shoulder pain—that just won't go away, no matter how much you stretch or rub it?
Here is a fascinating truth about manual therapy: the site of your pain is rarely the source of your problem.

Your body is a completely interconnected web. When we trace obscure pain, we look past surface muscles to two deep systems:

The Fascial Web: Fascia is a continuous sheet of connective tissue wrapping around everything. Think of it like a knit sweater—pull a thread at the bottom hem, and the collar tightens. Tension in one area can literally pull on a spot far away.

The Visceral Connection (Organs): Your internal organs are held in place by fascia and share nerve pathways with your muscles. For example, if your liver is restricted or sluggish, its distress signals travel up shared nerves. Your brain gets its wires crossed and interprets this as a deep, mysterious ache in your right shoulder.
Science calls this a viscerosomatic reflex:
"Visceral disorders can manifest as musculoskeletal pain due to viscero-somatic reflexes, where sensory inputs from internal organs stimulate pathways that the brain interprets as muscle or joint pain."

Journal of Manual & Manipulative Therapy

At Prairie Motion Therapy we don't just chase symptoms. We listen to the whole body—fascia, organs, and movement—to find the true origin of your discomfort and bring you back into balance. 🌾

Be like Bill! 😄
Bill doesn't wait until something hurts to see his osteopath. He books in every 3–6 months and keeps his body running smoothly — just like he does with his car and his teeth. 🚗🦷
Regular maintenance = a body that works harder for longer. Smart thinking, Bill! 💪
