Since the beginning of our extension line in 2023, we've been committed to offering premium-quality hair while keeping our pricing as consistent and low as possible. This is the first pricing adjustment we've made since our launch, and it reflects the increased costs of sourcing exceptional hair, maintaining our quality standards, and continuing to provide the level of service and experience our clients expect from FATE.

As part of this update, we've also simplified our extension offerings into two collections:

Our most requested everyday shades and lengths. These are the staples of our extension line and typically have a shorter turnaround time, allowing us to get your dream hair to you sooner.

✨𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑪𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒎 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏
For clients looking for something more tailored. This collection includes our specialty shades and select lengths that require larger manufacturer minimum order quantities and come at a higher production cost. These extensions have a longer turnaround time and are priced accordingly, ensuring you still receive the same premium quality and seamless blend.

We understand that price increases are never anyone's favorite announcement. However, they're an important part of maintaining the quality, consistency, and amazing experience we're committed to providing. Rather than compromising on the products we use or the service we deliver, we believe in being transparent about the investment required to continue offering the very best.

‼️A quick reminder: our extensions are not currently available for online purchase. They remain an exclusive offering for FATE clients. This ensures every client receives the proper colour match, installation, education, and aftercare needed to protect both the extensions and the health of your natural hair.

Over the past three years, we have been incredibly grateful for the support you've shown FATE Hair Extensions. What started as a passion project has grown into a brand that has helped countless clients achieve their dream hair, and for that, we cannot thank you enough.

After much consideration, we have made the decision not to re-launch our extensions for public purchase at this time. Moving forward, FATE Hair Extensions will be available 𝒆𝒙𝒄𝒍𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒚 through our salon and our team of trained FATE stylists.

Over the last two years of our extensions being purchased through other salons, we've carefully reviewed client feedback, warranty claims, and extension performance. Through this process, we identified a common trend: many issues were not related to the quality of the extensions themselves, but rather to factors such as inconsistent maintenance recommendations, lack of aftercare education, and the use of products that were not extension-safe.

As a result, some clients experienced concerns such as matting, excessive shedding or breakage, shortened extension lifespan, and in some cases, damage caused by improper installation methods. While these situations were outside of our control, they ultimately impacted the client experience and the reputation of our brand.

At FATE, our priority has always been providing high-quality products alongside the education, support, and expertise necessary to ensure the best possible results. In order to maintain those standards, we believe it is important that our extensions remain in the hands of professionals who have been properly trained in our methods, maintenance protocols, and aftercare recommendations as 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙧 𝙞𝙨 𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 "𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙩" 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙙, 𝙢𝙖𝙮 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙗𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨.

Our long-term plan has always included launching an education platform for both new and experienced extension artists. These programs are intended to provide comprehensive training on installation techniques, maintenance, troubleshooting, product knowledge, and client care.

However, following Melissa's cancer diagnosis and the uncertainty that followed, the development of our education programs was understandably placed on hold. As our team continues to focus on client care, salon growth, and upcoming educational opportunities this fall out of country, we have decided to postpone the launch of our education platform until the timing allows us to deliver the quality experience we envision & that you deserve.

❓What Does This Mean for Our Clients?
The good news is—very little will change.
✔ FATE Hair Extensions will continue to be available to our salon clients.
✔ Consultations, installations, maintenance appointments, and extension services will continue as usual.
✔ You'll continue to receive the same premium extensions, professional installation, and ongoing support you've come to expect from our team.
*Please note that all FATE Hair Extension installations and maintenance services must be performed by a FATE stylist within our salon. Extensions purchased through FATE may not be purchased separately for installation by another stylist.

❓What Does This Mean for Stylists?
At this time, FATE Hair Extensions will not be available for wholesale purchase or use on clients outside of our salon. We remain excited about the future of our education program and look forward to sharing more details when the time is right.

We are also currently reviewing our extension pricing. Since launching three years ago, we have not implemented a price increase despite rising costs throughout the industry. As we work through this process, we are carefully evaluating every option available to ensure we continue providing exceptional value while maintaining the quality standards our clients expect.
