One year ago we opened the doors to Golden Soul Sanctuary not knowing if anyone would walk through them. You did, again and again, and it still surprises me every time, in the best way.

So we’re throwing a party. Saturday, September 19th, 10am to 5pm, come celebrate a full year of magic with us.

We’ve got a mini market in the back with some of our favourite local businesses from our community: Laura Jesson Love, LapidaryLuke, Shelley Botterill, Skincare by Holly | Nanaimo, Oka Studio Designs, an expanded ritual bar for your DIY spell jars (still just $11), a wheel of fortune waiting to hand you an oracle message, refreshments, and in-store promotions all day long.

The first 25 people through the door get a scratch ticket for discounts or freebies. The first 10 people to spend $40 or more walk away with a gift bag of crystals and handcrafted ritual goodies.

22 years ago, I created a facial for a Hollywood actor known for his very famous relationship with vampires. 🧛

The challenge?
He wanted extractions.
The makeup artist needed calm, flawless, camera ready skin with zero redness.

So I created something completely on the spot that somehow did both.

The results were so good that I brought the treatment into my studio… and one client looked in the mirror and said:

“Oh my God… I look freshly f* #@&d.”

And just like that, the F3 Facial was born.

What started as an inside joke somehow ended up in Fashion Magazine back in 2004, and honestly, it still makes me laugh.

But now I’m wondering…

Does the F3 keep its legendary name?
Or is it time for a new evolution after all these years?

I didn't stumble into skincare by accident. I was drawn to it because I've always believed that how we care for ourselves on the outside is deeply connected to how we feel on the inside. That belief became Skincare by Holly, a studio where professional skincare and holistic healing live side by side.

When you come to see me, you're not just getting a facial. You're stepping into a space filled with crystals, intention, and genuine care. I take the time to really listen - to your skin, yes, but also to you. Every treatment is tailored, every session is a chance to slow down and reconnect with yourself.

I've poured years of learning and a whole lot of heart into this practice, and honestly, I still get excited every single day. There's nothing quite like watching someone's skin and their confidence transform over time. That's why I do this. 🙏
