Exciting News from Forge Fitness!
Big changes are happening! Forge Fitness has officially moved to a new location here in Nanaimo!
This wasn’t an easy decision, but it was the right one as ForgeFit continues to grow. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Nanaimo CrossFit for generously sharing their space with me over the past year and a half. I’m incredibly grateful for the support, the amazing staff and owners, and the welcoming community of members. Looking ahead, I’m thrilled to announce that Forge Fitness is now partnering with Movement Co VI! I’m very excited to be working out of their beautiful facility and can’t wait for what’s to come.
Here’s to the next chapter 🦾

5 Things i wish i knew before strength training
1️⃣Nutrition: privatizing macros and eating more routinely in the day, whether you’re in a cut, maintenance or bulk phase, eat enough and with quality.
2️⃣Training: focus on proper technique to minimize injury and improve longevity in the gym and to train at the right intensities to build muscle and strength.
3️⃣Adequate Rest: over training has many nasty side effects whether that be causing injuries, inflammation in the body or general fatigue. You’re body needs time to repair, grow and recover before the next training session. Make sure to schedule rest days in a week and have deload phases if necessary.
4️⃣Consistency: set days in the week for your training schedule that is manageable and fits with your personal and work life. Have a structured weight program to follow that is well rounded and designed for your abilities and fitness goals. This will drastically change your performance in the gym and keep you more accountable.
5️⃣Have Fun: At times, being serious and engaging in high intensity training is great but don’t create a toxic relationship with the gym and yourself. We can easily start comparing ourselves to others or beating yourself up about your current physical abilities. Trust the process and enjoy it. Life is hard enough and training can be a great tool for your mental wellbeing if you let it.
