I know I'm terrible for keeping up with everyone on here but we had a special visitor today and I obviously wanted to share the love!

Just a heads up that awesome 🙄 lol round-about that the city added is apparently already showing defects so its getting dug up and replaced.

Unfortunately that means it will be closed for a month and our clients and other mall patrons will NOT be able to access the plaza going southbound on bowen rd. Your best bet if coming from Country Club/Divers lake areas or anywhere north of us is to come in off of Northfield Rd. to the landlubber entrance or the Northbound lane of Bowen Rd has 2 entrances before the light at the new rd.

Sorry for the inconvenience we aren't fans of it either lol

Friendly reminder the only holidays we are absolutely closed are: Remembrance Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day(unless it falls on a monday as the shop is always closed Mondays). If you get a reminder text the day before your appt we will be here.

If you have doubts please message or phone us! Don't just assume we will be closed and not show up as we are all self employed here and missed appts causes us to lose income and we will have to charge you the no show fee if you don't show up. Which has unfortunately for us already occurred multiple times this morning.

It is with great sadness and regret that we make this post but Nanaimo has lost a legend with the passing of our neighbor the one and only Bill Whitten the Owner of almost 30 years at Sports Card Alley.

This man was not only limitless in his sports knowledge but even more so in the size of his heart. Bill would do anything to help people he considered friends of which there were many even when it was to his own detriment.

He fed a lot of people and even acted as a shepard/trustee and friend for many people on hard times.

We all at Beban Plaza and The Edge Barber shop will miss him dearly.....but I (Ryan) am especially heartbroken at his sudden absence from my life. I will miss your shoulder to lean on, your advice, your laugh and your smile.

I am a better man because of your friendship Bill Whitten.

May you Rest Peacefully.
