These cracks in the heel are called heel fissures. They are caused by severe dryness and pressure combined, leading to splits in the skin. THICK NAIL ALERT!!! Here we have pictures a Ram’s Horn nail (called this way because of the shape!). It was painful for this patient to walk and wear shoes for YEARS!

She was worried it would be painful for me to treat, but when we were done all that was said was: “That was it? I felt nothing!”. She walked out of the office smiling and pain free.

We carefully and skillfully cut the affected nail and sand it smooth for a pain free and aesthetically pleasing nail :)

Two thumbs up! Today at WHFFC we did what I call a “double-double”. A lovely gentleman presented to my office with 2 sides of both big toes chronically ingrown and infected. This created a lot of pain for him and recurrent infections. Even putting on socks was painful!

We did a permanent ingrown toenail surgery - fixing up both sides of both toes to eliminate the ingrowns and fix them up for good! These are now happy toes :)

Hello little fella! This ingrown looks like a Nike swoosh! Well we “just did it” and removed this painful nail spike from a big toe! The nail spike is the left hand side of the of picture.
