Since I don’t believe I’ve actually done this, I wanted to formally introduce myself,

So hey there! I’m Julie MacLeod, I am the owner of CLEOD & CO!😄 Here’s little about me...

I’ve been doing makeup on myself and others since I was 12 years old. Everything started when I started getting hormonal acne at a young age and needed a way to hide it. After years of perfecting the art of camouflage, I had become very fond of transforming myself and seeing what makeup could do! So whether it was for a drama performance, figure skating competition or just for fun, makeup was my absolute favourite thing.

Throughout high school I discovered new passions such as physical theatre, musical theatre and competitive dance which further propelled me into the world of aesthetics and gave me the opportunity to highly diversify my abilities by the time I was 18. At this point I knew makeup was going to be with me forever. I applied to Sheridan after taking a year off after high-school and I was so incredibly fortunate to be accepted into their Makeup for Media & Creative Arts program. Here I expanded my cosmetic knowledge, obtained industry experience and rediscovered my passion for the best makeup of all- beautiful skin!

After graduating, I was lucky enough to be trained over 1000 hours with Caryl Baker Visage educators and participate in their Face Expert academy. Throughout this program I learned the foundations of facial esthetics including waxing, tinting, skin analysis, facial treatments, teeth whitening, brow henna, eyelash enhancements, ear piercing and everything in between! I completely fell in love with the industry all over again but now this time skincare stole my heart!

Since, I’ve solidified plans for my education and my road to becoming a dermatologist is now in full force! 😄

BUT, I could not resist the urge to develop a small start-up business of my own. I promise I have big plans for this name and company and I could not be happier that you’ve decided to follow me on this journey!
