VITAMIN C: HOW TO USE IT CORRECTLY? ๐งก๐
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is a component of many creams, serums, and ampoule complexes. This vitamin brightens the skin, stimulates collagen and elastin production, and strengthens local immunity.
But!๐๐ผ
Firstly, our skin is part of the excretory system, not the digestive system. Therefore, it is essential not only to use a cream with vitamin C but also to replenish the vitamin from the inside by eating broccoli, cauliflower, red bell peppers, currants, apples, and citrus fruits ๐๐๐ฅฆ๐ Then vitamin C will get to the skin in the right amount through the bloodstream.
Secondly, a cream or serum with vitamin C usually works only within the epidermis. There are five layers:
โข basal
โข prickly
โข granular
โข shiny
โข and stratified.
And they give a pronounced result only when there is a problem: wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, inflammation, immune system disorders, etc.
What does this mean? If you don't have a vitamin C deficiency and a problem it can solve, you won't feel its miraculous effects.
However, vitamin C will come in handy if you:
- smoke
- have an unbalanced diet - your diet is low in fresh vegetables, fruits, and berries but high in meat, fast food, and alcohol
- have hyperpigmentation, shallow wrinkles, weakened skin immunity (ultraviolet radiation, aggressive skin cleansing, use of indelible cosmetics with high alcohol content)
- want to activate vitamins A, E, B.
If you have a problem, you can use a serum with vitamin C in the morning or in the evening, or even in the morning and in the evening. But always in a course ๐๐ผ
Is there vitamin C in your facial care routine? Tell me in the comments ๐งก

Tip of the day from Victoria Beckham:
"I had very problematic skin. And one day, my dermatologist, Dr. Harold Lancer, told me that I should eat salmon every day: for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Because it's rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which are great for fighting inflammation, wrinkles, and breakouts."
What do I think about this as a cosmetologist?
Omega-3 fatty acids for breakfast, lunch, and dinner are always a good idea! ๐

3 MYTHS ABOUT PAPILLOMAS ๐๐ผ
Hello, dear friends! โค๏ธ
Today I'm going to bust a few common myths about papillomasโฆ๐๐ผ
So, myth #1๏ธโฃ: papillomas will disappear on their own.
Papillomas are mostly benign neoplasms of squamous or transitional epithelium with blood vessels inside. Once a papilloma is finally formed, it will neither grow nor shrink. Therefore, they will not disappear independently, and they can only be removed painlessly and safely in a dermatologist's office. For example, in mine.
Myth #2๏ธโฃ: papillomas can be cauterized with iodine.
Usually, papillomas are benign neoplasms, but sometimes they can be malignant. It is impossible to distinguish a benign papilloma from a malignant one visually. A doctor can do this during an ocular examination. Like, in fact, to determine a papilloma from a wart or condyloma. Papillomas and condillomas are quite similar.
Therefore, you should never cauterize papilloma-like growths with iodine, or alcohol or "cut them off."
Myth #3๏ธโฃ: papillomas are transmitted only during s*x.
The primary way of transmission of papillomas, or rather human papillomavirus, is s*xual (70%).
But you can also get infected through household contact, for example, during a hug, when there is skin-to-skin contact.
If you have papillomas, don't panic, but make an appointment with a dermatologist to have them examined and safely removed. I'm always here for you โค๏ธ

ABOUT CANADA DAY โค๏ธ๐จ๐ฆ
Canada has become my second home since russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
I use "home" because I have never felt out of place or unnecessary.
My son and I came here for a lost sense of security, but we found an opportunity to start over.
Recently, at the end of June, there was an incident in the residential complex where I lived. The house I saw from my apartment window now stands burnt down, with several apartments missing. Similar situations happen quite often in Ukraine, and analyzing all this, I realize that the decision to move to Canada, which was extremely difficult for me, was the right one. And perhaps fateful.
After living here for almost a year, I stopped being afraid not only of airplanes in the sky but also of other people's opinions. Because in Canada, you can be whoever you want to be when you grow up. And you can grow up whenever you want. In their 60s and 70s, people get married, travel, go to school, and no one is surprised.
Most people strive to get a higher education and a good job, not to buy a fancy Louis Vuitton bag or the latest Lexus. A car is not something to be proud of but a means of comfortable transportation within and outside the country. Children at school brag about their achievements, not their new iPhones or other expensive gifts.
This simplicity, which is inherently difficult because you have to grow up to it, attracts me. I like living here and now: working, studying, and developing. To follow rules that do not burden me because everyone follows them. They become a natural part of life. To make plans for months ahead and realize my plans.
The war in Ukraine tears my heart. I start and end my day with news from home.
But I am happy that I was able to give my son a happy and peaceful childhood. I am happy that I was able to protect him from all the possible horrors of war. I am happy and grateful that Canada has become our second home.
So, happy Canada Day, dear Canada!
We are grateful to you for everything โค๏ธ

PEELING IS EVIL: WHY DO PEOPLE THINK SO? ๐
Hello, everyone!
Recently, I came across a post whose author openly hated peeling... They say it disrupts the protective function of the skin, the sebaceous glands and thins the epidermis. And in general, our ancestors lived without peeling and did not know grief.
Does peeling harm the skin? ๐
Peeling is a controlled damage to the skin (its upper or deeper layers), during which the epidermis is cleaned of dead cells, and the pores are cleaned of dirt and sebum microparticles.
Our skin has a protective barrier that, like a border guard, checks everyone who comes into contact with it. Most of the products - creams, serums, lotions - do not go further than the stratum corneum of the epidermis. The few with conductors are lucky enough to break through into deeper layers.
During peeling, the protection is destroyed, but the skin is aware of this and throws all its strength into restoring it. New cells divide, and collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid are produced.
If you interfere with the skin's work daily or weekly, it will be deleted. If you do it once every few months, and peeling is not done that often, there will be no problems. On the contrary, the quality of the skin will improve.
As for the functioning of the sebaceous glands, for example, salicylic or almond peeling is used in a course for oily and problematic skin to normalize sebum production. Its excess is not only irritating but also contributes to the appearance of acne.
And the last point concerns skin thinning. There is such a dermatological disease as hyperkeratosis, in which the top layer of the skin is excessively thickened. In this case, peeling helps to thin it to a normal state, eliminating dryness, inflammation, and blackheads. In all other cases, subjective thinning occurs because dead cells and sebum plugs are removed from the epidermis.
What do you think of peeling? ๐๐ผ/๐๐ผ
