Applying baby powder is actually a very important step in the sugaring process!

Baby powder creates a buffer between the sugar paste and your skin and allows the sugar to be applied properly. This means less sticking to the skin and a better grip on your hairs. We want the hair removed with as little irritation to the skin as possible!

A big part of that is because of the unique way that the sugar is applied and removed.

In the diagram you can see...
💖 We apply the sugar to the hair against the direction of the hair growth. This is so the sugar can grip all around the hair.
💖 We then remove the sugar in the same direction as the hair growth. This allows us to pull the hair out right from the root with less breakage.

The less breakage, the longer you can wait in between appointments!
