hey friends, how’ve you been?!

I’m coming with some good news and bad news, which would you like first?!

I’m always a fan of good news so let’s start with that. I haven’t been active on here since September 2021 because I got pregnant and this past May I had my beautiful daughter, ✨Ava Juliana✨. To say the last 11 months have been busy would be an understatement 🤪

But today I’m coming with a shop update. Bad news is, with my new little bestie, I’ve made the decision to close Bath Buddies and boy was it a hard one to make. I hummed and hawed for months on end wondering if this was the right decision or not but I know deep down that it is.

Bath Buddies was born out of an idea for a blog post and if you’ve been here from the beginning, you know it flourished into so, so much more. And all that was because of you 💕

A very big thank you to this community for supporting Bath Buddies over the last few years. The likes, tags, shares, views, comments, and purchases never went unnoticed. I remember getting to 300 followers and thinking, “Wow! 300 people want to see what I’ve created 🥹”. This community of makers is one like I’ve never seen. The support, encouragement, and love that is given from other shop owners was always so amazing. People have some serious talent out there! 🤩

I’ve learned so much over the last 5+ years. I had no idea I was making flatlays until I came across the hashtag one day and looked into it 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

I truly don’t have the heart to deactivate my social media pages, so they will remain in a little corner in the online world but I will no longer be taking orders. Who knows, maybe one day baby girl will see them and look at them the way I do 🥰

They sell for $27 per jar that comes with 10 Steamers inside. 10% of proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Society as a Christmas donation 🎄

The Steamers are small but mighty and actually work 👊🏼. Packed with eucalyptus and peppermint essential oils along with other ingredients to help keep that scent strong, they will transport you to the spa without leaving home 🧖🏼‍♀️🧖🏻

As we approach Bath Buddies’ busiest season (🤯), I wanted to make face here again to let you know I haven’t gone anywhere. Quite the opposite, actually! I have something new and exciting coming that I can’t wait to share with you! 🙊

let’s talk bath bombs this morning, shall we?

Bath Buddies originally began from a single batch of bath bombs. It was my first product I ever made for my little biz. I made them before I actually ever experienced one myself.

And after trial and error, and trial and error again, and maybe even once more, I finally perfected my bombs.

In the beginning I was making them with different colours to make them fun. Experimenting with ingredients, I would come out of the tub completely pink from dye, and encountered an uncomfortably close call with staining my tub pink and black 🙈

All the testing and trying to now share why my bombs are colourless.

I hated that the dyes were making my skin the colour of the bomb. And I hated, like double hated, that a ring of colour stayed on my tub after I drained the water. Who wants to clean their tub after a nice relaxing bath. Not this girl, that’s who 🙅🏻‍♀️

So I began to realize that if I don’t like the colouring in my baths, there’s probably other people who don’t either. Which is why my bombs are packed with the best ingredients and oils to let you relax and escape and exit the tub with no hassle or annoyance of having to clean it afterwards.
