I’m Megan, the newest Esthetician at Sweet Skin by Ivana and your soon-to-be biggest hype woman for healthy, glowing skin ✨

Originally from Vancouver, BC, I trained at the Blanche Macdonald Centre and am also the owner and operator of my own nail studio, Shekinah Aesthetics. If it involves self-care and helping people feel confident and cared for, I’m all in.

Like many of us, I’m still on my own journey of feeling fully comfortable in my skin. That’s exactly what led me to fall in love with aesthetics. I’m passionate about enhancing your natural beauty, not changing who you are—just helping you look and feel like the most refreshed, radiant version of yourself. 🩷

My goal during your time at Sweet Skin is simple: to create a calm, welcoming space where you can unwind, feel taken care of, and step away from your busy day. Whether you’re here for results, relaxation, or a bit of both, I want you to leave feeling refreshed, supported, and more confident in your skin.

I especially love performing facials, particularly our Custom Newbie Facial and Dermaplaning treatments. Since joining Sweet Skin, I’ve been challenged in the best way and am continuously expanding my knowledge of advanced treatments, ingredients, and how to truly customize each experience to my clients’ unique skin needs.

Officially introducing our newest team member — Charleston, aka Charlie 🩵

For those who know me well know that I’ve wanted a dog my entire life. From as far back as I can remember, I asked for a puppy every birthday and Christmas since 1993 — the year my family and I immigrated to Canada.

But as newcomers, we rented apartments where dogs weren’t allowed. By the time I was old enough to get a puppy and had my own home, I was working so much outside of the house that I felt guilty getting a dog only to leave it home alone or in a kennel most days.

Then came three kids in three years.

I desperately wanted a dog for our young family, but one of my kids began showing signs of dog allergies along with asthma — so instead, we welcomed an energetic, hypoallergenic Bengal cat. And while we’ve loved Bingo for the past seven years (he keeps things very interesting 😅)… he’s not a dog.

As I approach 40 in a few short months, I’ve found myself wanting to say yes to the things I’ve deeply dreamed about, yearned for, or simply couldn’t stop thinking about.

Life is too short not to experience the things that bring us joy — if we just allow ourselves to say yes.

I spent my entire 30s putting my heart’s true desires on pause for various reasons.
I’m done doing that. I’m so done.

I wanted a dog before I rang in my 40th — so I got the damn dog. Finally.

And he is perfect.

I am obsessed in the most joyful, heart-bursting way. His presence brings me peace. He makes me slow down. He reminds me to notice the world again — through his tiny paws, his curiosity, his wonder at even the smallest things.

Watching him experience life for the very first time has reminded me to experience it again too.
