Today was the last day of work with my work husband. He put his scissors down in Oliver, a community where he’s created so many wonderful memories and stories. We were so grateful for everyone who stopped by to say goodbye. I’m so happy for Thomas and Adam as they start their new adventures — they’ll be deeply missed by so many.

Get ready for a one-of-a-kind Daddy Daughter Date Night in partnership with Crisp Hair Studio at The HUB! 💕
Join us on May 4 from 5–7PM for a fun, hands-on workshop where dads and daughters will learn simple hairstyles together and take home a hairbrush and accessories.
Make it a full date night and join us for dinner—our full menu and kids menu will be available throughout the evening. 🍔✨ Slackwater beer will also be on special.
Workshop ticket is $20 per duo (dad + daughter). Food and beverages are available for purchase at The HUB.

As we move into a new chapter at Crisp, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Thomas Millar for the incredible impact he has had at the studio and our community. Over the past four years, Thomas and I have helped shape Crisp into the warm, welcoming, and supportive space it is today.

With Thomas preparing for his next adventure, I kindly ask for your patience and understanding during this transition. I will be personally reaching out to all clients currently booked with Thomas, and will be extending my hours to ensure everyone is cared for. This process will take a little time, but every client will be contacted — your appointments and your experience remain my priority. Once again, please be patient.

At this time, I am so excited to share that Crisp will soon be welcoming a new and highly experienced stylist to the Crisp team.

Hayley Kamp completed her training in the United Kingdom, where she spent 11 years as a salon business partner. After returning to Canada, she moved into education, teaching at Hair Art Academy in White Rock and later at Utopia Academy in Abbotsford. She has recently relocated to the Okanagan and brings exceptional skill, professionalism, and heart to our studio. Outside the salon, Hayley is a proud mom of four and caretaker of three dogs. She loves spending her free time near the water and brings that same calm, grounded energy into her work.

I am thrilled for you to meet her. Hayley will begin taking bookings in May — her schedule will be opening soon, so stay tuned!!

I’m proud to share that Carley will be taking over ownership of Crisp Hair Studio.

Carley has been an essential part of our team and community — someone who leads with warmth, integrity, and a deep commitment to her clients. She understands the heart of Crisp because she has helped shape it. I couldn’t imagine a better person to carry this space forward.

As I prepare for my move to Edmonton, knowing that Crisp will continue under Carley’s guidance brings me so much peace and gratitude. She will honour the culture we built together while bringing her own strength, creativity, and vision to the studio.

Dear Clients and Friends,

As I prepare to say goodbye, I’ve been reflecting on what these past six years at Crisp have meant — not just to me as a stylist, but to me as a person. When I opened the doors to this little studio, I hoped it would become a place where people felt seen, cared for, and welcomed exactly as they are. What I didn’t expect was how deeply you would shape it, and how much this community would come to feel like home.
My husband has accepted a wonderful opportunity with the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald in Edmonton, and I will be relocating to join him soon. My last day at Crisp will be April 24, 2026. Leaving is bittersweet, but I take comfort in knowing that the heart of this studio — the connection, the warmth, the creativity — will continue long after I’m gone.
Crisp has never been just a salon. It has been a space built on trust, laughter, vulnerability, and shared moments. Together, we created something special: a place where people could show up exactly as themselves and walk out feeling a little lighter, a little brighter, a little more themselves. That is the legacy I’m most proud of.
I’m grateful to say that this spirit will carry forward. Carley will be taking over the studio, and I trust her completely to honour the culture we built together. She leads with heart, integrity, and genuine care. And with our new talent, Hayley, joining the team, you’ll have even more support and creativity available to you. Please pre book your future appointments, they’re both here, excited and ready to take amazing care of your hair care needs.
